Put the libvrender.so in "/system/lib" and restart then install the apk, to fix the aspect ratio problem, disable the "AW codec" and put movie working, go to the aspect ratio and change to the one of your choice(mine was always 16.9) and change interlacing/deinterlacing from auto to enable, and save as default, after then enable again "AW codec".

This box will probably never be perfect. Even without the KODI issues trying to play things via DNLA and MX Player from my PC results in an extremely glitchy experience. This box seems to hang and crash fairly regularly in general and is a poor product imo compared to my MINIX but obviously that is a more expensive box.

Very hard to get a perfect box. I have gone through so many boxes myself. Some expensive ones like minix, and mygica. Some cheap ones. And they all have their share of troubles. This box is a good introductory to kodi, etc. I have bought many to give away to friends and family to introduce them to the world of Kodi and Android. If they find they like Kodi and the features it offer, they can decide to go for a better box. Hopefully, they enjoy the box with no issues and will remember the beelink or the zidoo brand (and allwinner cpu as I specifically tell them the make of CPU) when shopping for an upgrade. If they have lots of issues, they will want to buy something else (and another CPU).Last edited by piggy99; 10 November 2015, 18:12.

I use Windows 10. PhoenixSuit won't recognize the device, despite it's correctly installed in Device Manager, It appears as a cryptic USB Device(VID_1f3a_PID_efe8).
That's ok... then the trick is to load image file in PhoenxiSuit and do a brute-force installation
This is to play with power button several times, and then put a clip in the little hole until appears the "mandatory ...." warning
At this point the user can choose a format option or an upgrade option.
I prefer upgrade in order to not reinstall all the stuff from scratch.
It will remove recovery program if some of this are used.
So the only thing I needed to do is to reinstall TWRP (my favorite) using a flash tool which is Rashr - Flash Tool.
Nor even I needed to reinstall KODI 15.2 which I have running in my device.
Allwinner developers are not good in upgrade by cable. I recall suffering the same in an old tablet Ainol Novo 7 Aurora couple of years ago."Rock more than music it's a way of living"

I don't get it... so many people complaining about Kodi 14.2... why don't you all just update Kodi with 15.2? I just did an uninstall on my old kodi, and installed 15.2. No issues at all.
I did get hit by the bad image that TRIGTOP had sent out and it bricked two of my boxes. I was able to recover both of those tonight with a Type A male to male USB cord I found in a dollar store today. LOL! It was a bit tricky getting the Phoenix Suit to work, but I figured the trick out and res-erected both. Now they both have 202K4 and are humming along fine. Guess I can close my ticket with Gearbest!
