    4. PhoenixSuit won't recognize it. That's normal!

    That's the scenario... then proceed:

Ten times pressing power button in a row... 1-2-3-4 ... and so on
then plug a clip in the little hole... as there is no other button available... Allwinner ask for another button to be pressed.

It should appear "Mandatory upgrade" ... Before you plug the clip

Tricky???... yeah!!! Allwinner like the things this way

Yes it all happens like this till end. Mandatory Burn fail 7 percent with all roms.

Didn't work for me. What did I do wrong?

      1- Downloaded custom ROM - http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...rom-beelink-x2
2- Flashed it with Phoenix Card
3- Booted BOX with SD card.
4- Welcome screen appears. Nothing more. Waited for many minutes.

Since no solution for this problem is found. I'm thinking in requesting a full refund to gearbest.

Did you choose startup option before flashing rom to sd? Did you use phoenix card 3.10. Did you use external card reader

My laptop has a card reader.

I used PhonexCard 3.10 managed to burn the card in Startup mode (after a couple of burn failed errors).

I dunno.. IMO vendor should release an official fix for this.

I've had a number of these devices that seemed to be "bricked", but you can easily fix using the 203K4 image Trigtop supplied in this thread. Just load the image into Pheonix Suit, flip your X2 over, push a paper clip through the hole on the bottom of the box til you feel/hear the click, hold it, Plug your TypeA male to male USB cable into the USB port next to the power connector (you do NOT need to plug in the power supply for this), and then start pressing the "on/off" button on the top of the box a few times (somewhere between 5 and ten times it will connect), and boom! Your image will be loaded. Sometimes you have to do a full format, but normally you can get away without doing the format.

                    Someone tried this apps?

I liked very much the mirroring, with some lags but very good.

Beelink X2 and Nexsmart D32 for now!!!

I am also seeing the 7% Burn firmware failed. Anyone got a solution? I have followed all the suggested methods.

Hi guys. Great information resource you have here. I am a firce internet forum user also, although in my case related to other thematics.

Now, for what brought me here (Hehehe):

I am waiting to receive my X2 today and will put your firmware in it. I read your instructions but have 2 doubts:

steps1: download update_X2_V103k4.img and phonixsuit. prepara an A-A male USB cable. Where can I find that 103k4.img file?
steps2: install phonixsuit on your PC (win7 or other OS) and open it. Locate update_X2_201k4.img in the download page. Do I have to go through all the rom updates or can I go directly to the most recent one?

                            Thanks for the help.

You dont need 103k4, most likely you box will come with a lot newer version, after that all you need to do is to grab the 203K4 from the first page and install it with the USB cable method and that is it.

preverse; Sorry for taking so long to get back. On some of these boxes that are stubborn and won't image and get stuck at xx%, try loading just a part of the image. When you are on the "Firmware" page of Pheonixsuit, chose the image you like, and then you will notice there is a little check box below the image you have picked that reads "Download one or multi partition ... etc". Click on that box and you will be presented with a list of the parts of that image. In the past with the really stubborn boxes that stall and won't image, I have just checked off the "bootloader" part and imaged that to the box. If that doesn't work, try the other parts, but the boot loader seems to wake them up and get them running, and then they will accept the entire image.

panlarp; I image all my boxes with the x2_V203K4 image when I receive them. I have never had an issue of mistakes or failed firmware. They image up fine and you are off and running in about a minute. The hardest part about everything is finding the cable to do this. I lucked out and found one at a dollar store, but I also ordered a bag of 10 male-to-male converters that plug into the female end of a usb extension cable and make it what I need as well. These converters/adapters came from Gearbest. http://www.gearbest.com/development-...pp_135805.html
