the best you can do without a BGA rework station OR a good heatgun is the kitchen oven set at 350-375F for 5 to 15M depending on the application
ACTUALLY removing the chip and re-balling it requires A either a HOT-AIR or Inferred BGA station with the proper templates to reball and flow the solder

your post amounts to a random guess based on 1/4 of a Clue and full of more holes then a block of swiss cheese, wasn't even close to the mark and probably based on something you read on Google, and whats worse you recommended it to other users as if it was indisputable fact
PSS: giant red font is annoying especially considering that you are Dead-Wrong

Red font may warn people who oc sticks, because this is result of that. And I wrote that to anybody who wanna repair it with hotair - do it at Your own risk. Somebody do it yourself, other may go to You with this problem

Re: overclocked kernel is here
To close this issue, apps randomly closing has absolutely nothing to do with soldered connections. As has been suggested, the system wouldn't come to full boot unless the onboard hardware was functional and connected properly. Just as a faulty battery isn't to blame for car power door locks going haywire, Antutu closing probably has far more to do with wrinkles in the hardware / software layer in some sticks, rather than factory defects. Antutu isnt designed with ALL hacked android OS tests in mind. Any benchmark app pushes the corresponding device to its limits and records top end thresholds. They are coded with a set of very specific instructions to fully and safely mesh with a device and test its limits. Inconsistencies detected between hardware & software layers and the benchmark app will end in device shutdown to stop serious errors or damage from occurring.

patch tool 1.7 "load firmware fail"
howdy peeps!
first post and im a noob....
iv got the mk802IV yesterday and noticed the usual issues,so read through rikomagic forum and eventually ended up here, so after a ton of threads i read i think i have this right...! i am attempting to run the neomode's custom rom and sam123's overclocked kernel this should give me the optimum available for now. i gotten as far as to load the MK802_IV_NEOTVCR_V1_20130620.zip to the device and have patch tool 1.7 open with a green icon on the devices connected, but when i try put the 1080p kernel in the FW path it throws up an error message "load firmware failed"
i do apologies for jumping in here as i can see there is some serious modding beging worked out, i didn't just bang up this post with out reading through the thread first. i did see a similar issue on the bottom page 6 but there was no solution posted and the poster seemed to have resolved in their next post...!
cheers in advance for the support and looking forward to enjoying the new roms and kernel's.....

ok downloaded the zip from www.freak-tab.de/neomode/MK802_IV_NEOTVCR_V1_20130620 unpacked it and removed the kernel file from the image folder and replaced it with the 1.7ghz ram 800 kernel, then i run the ROM flash tool v3.17 that was in the pack, the first box is green and "founder Rkandroid loader rock usb" flashing, but prompts "kenelfile not existed" when run.
edited: i started over again, unpacked just your rom and kept your kernel and it flashed with out any issues...
