Yes its a hardy little box better performance then i expected. I think do to too the 2 gigs ves 1. The other 3229 firmware listed in thread all works with this device. (switching resource kernel ) net box is kk though but it works. Seems they all have similar set ups and showing same 5 gig not in storage. Firmware updates been a huge bonus better then the qbox response. Seems similar to 3288 in bricking and un bricking get to mask mode everything works fine again.

Remember me caving to my friends' demands I hand over the boxes last week? Well, my "friends" are sending "my" 2 boxes back to me, and I won't be able to get any relevant info out of the guy who's dropping them off (he's kept in a cellar to "keep him quiet" when he's not delivering stuff. I'm told.) so I can't interpret "They're not working out" at this point.

Reboot bug was squashed with the latest full image followed by a couple of tiny OTAs. I think your friends will be happy with their budget boxes.

To confirm this would/could/should be the latest firmware up to date if going buy date stamp and test keys
This was achieved by latest .img file and followed 2 OTA updates.
There has been OTA for me here as yet last 24 hours but the day is young anything is possible

Well, I was googling and reading forums and found the solution for my problems

To get it to work correctly in 1080p, I have to run the following commands as root (in terminal):

su
wm size 1080x1920
wm density 240

To change it back:
wm size reset
wm density reset

It is not my discovery, but I hope it helps

It did not work for me, as it did not fill the screen. Also I rebooted after, still only fills the center third of my 1080 display. Have to look in to it further. Any ideas? Would the build.prop also require modification?

I put it into the firmware section. 0615 does one ota but not to latest version so ill remove it and put the 2 ota in same firmware link. That way less confusion.

Hi guys, been playing around with my r-box the past week or two.

Noticed something strange has started happening. When I use the remote control it works fine for a minute or two on booting the device. But then the cursor will freeze on the screen. It'll only let me move the cursor a few millimeters!

Now if I wait for, say 30 seconds, the remote acts normally for 2 or 3 seconds before freezing again. If I wait for maybe 5 or 10 seconds, it'll only work normally for less than a second before freezing again...!

Has anyone else experienced this? I've tried flashing firmware from pc in an attempt to reset the device, but no joy.

Funny thing is, it was working fine a week ago until I decided to do an ota update.

Any suggestions/help would be much appreciated!

Yes check your storage and see if your out if memory as well make sure all apps have been closed. One of the reasons i trying to get storage increased.

Clear cashe in storage should help as well.
