I think the problem is the firmware might contain the older RK Kodi 15.2 patch also and it interferes with the new RK Kodi 16.1 one.

I deleted the NTMC yesterday to try that alternative Kodi. I hope i have the correct file this time.

You can go to /system/preinstall/NTMC to reinstall it again if needed.

I also tested a ac3 video and it crashed.
I'm building a new firmware to test if it works now.
So no need to do further tests until I upload the new version

I tried NTMC and there are still problems. The good news is that DTS and AC3 is working but no sound on DTS-HD and Dolby True HD. It also doesn't crask on mkv files. It still crashes a lot on dvd with original menus. Sometimes with custom menu it plays.Another issue is when i want to try to play a blu-ray movie it doesn't open it. I can browse to the m2ts file and play but it doesn't play the be structure and neither bd.iso.
Then i tried RKMC and it faces the same problems, No HD audio and crashes on dvds with original menus. But RKMC did play the blu-ray structure and also played bd.iso. Just not HD Audio.

DVD playback is not supported correctly on Android at the moment, even Kodi developers mention it.
You can long press on a dvd iso file or press 'c' or 'menu' button on the IR remote and choose 'Play using' and pick Stock Videoi Player or MXPlayer to play the file instead.
Please check if that works.
I might experiment in getting DVD iso's to play but it might take a while.

If DTS is working it is strange that DTS-HD doesn't work.
Are all DTS-HD settings turned on in NTMC and volume on IR remote on full?
Does DTS-HD work in MXPlayer or Stock Video Player?

Ahhh i didn't know that about dvd playback. About the blu-ray iso and blu-ray structure, the long press does give the menu to play or choose an external player but nothing happend.Neither it want to start to play in kodi, or start the external player. I can browse to the m2ts file and then it plays in Kodi(without the HD sounds) I also tried mkv but also doesn't start when you select an external player. I tried RKMC and there the option Play worked with blu-ray structure and starts to play. But RKMC doesn't have the option in the menu to chose an external player so i can't test that. I checked everything again and it doesn't play HD audio. It still works in MX player and Stock Video Player.

You can go to
'Accessibility Options' and then tick 'Root System'
Android will restart and you will be rooted.
You can do the same steps again if you want to unroot again.

You can also go to Android Settings - LeHome Assistant
You can scan the code with your phone/tablet and then use the app to remote control the tv box and use it as a touch screen gamepad to play games on the tv box.

If you have pass-through equipment please also test it in NTMC Kodi, RK Video Player and MXPlayer to see if it works correctly.
If you use Netflix, also test if it doesn't have any problems.

What means pass-through ? Optical wire direct connected to the Box ? and changing Audio output to pass-through ? But i only have 3.1 Center/Bass/L/R .
