Thank you. Great firmware, but I'm having a weird glitch. Sometimes in market, sometimes in some apps, sometimes at video playback (different players) I'm getting graphical artefacts. Something like green scanline pattern over lower part of screen. In market sometimes having red scanline pattern.

The weird thing it's always different height, but I newer saw it's greater than half of screen.

My device is Ubox 4k with 1g/8g

Yeah, one thing is weird. When I turn off HDMI Chechking - i'ts not a rare thing. This glitch is seen almost in every app and wery often. When i turn HDMI Checking back on it becomes more rare, but still happens sometimes

      You are not alone .
I've got almost exlusively pink or red pattern but from time to time I see green one. IMO it's hight depends from where mouse cursor is. It might be connected to hardware cursor memory corruption. Similar problem was with some old Lollipop firmware.
Thanks for hint about "HDMI checking". Now it might be less frequently visible. I kind of used to it .

Questions: How did you flash your firmware? Did you completely erase internal memory before that?

That's probably a typo or small mistake. For example right now I'm not completely sure if my previous Android TV Box based on RK3188 had 1GB or 2GB of RAM. Maybe thanks to constant micro freezes NoirDemon thinks that it have 1GB of RAM . One thing I'm certain my next Android TV BOX will have 4GB of RAM.

i got a tronsmart r28 meta and tried to upgrade to wasser-4.0.11-beelink-r89-rk3288_box.img but now i'm bricked. i can see the boot image so the loader work and boot image work but after 2-3min i got a black screen, so i tried to get back to some other LP or KK roms (leolas, finless, mo123) but i can't even get back to stock tronsmart rom, i try to flash only bootloader in both normal and maskrom mod, bootloader seem to get hardcoded into the box :P i tried evrything, wipe idb before flashing booloader, eraseflash.... of course i tried under both under XP pc and a win10 pc enabling supportlowusb=TRUE into the androidtool 2.3.. useless to try different usb cable, i got the same working cable that i use for many year

my problem is very similary to him : http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...om-bricked-r28

but i got loader mod and can switch maskrom mod easily by the short pin method

Is there a list of the USB Ethernet Chipsets that work with this rom?

I've just tried out my USB Ethernet adapter with AX88772A chipset. But he was not recognized.

Thanks. That's the chipset I used as well, just wanted to be sure it wasn't just mine that was broken as I hadn't used it in a while.

I've also tried out 2 other USB Ethernet adapter with RD9700 chipset. But they were also not recognized.

ryan1976 I've found something interesting for you in my R89 folder (don't know where I picked it up):
To start up eth1 (the USB ethernet adapter) automatically at boot time, add the following in an init.d script (and leave eth0 unplugged or disabled to make sure you use the right interface):
                      netcfg eth1 dhcp

Thanks Uli. I have this a try but it seems netcfg has been deprecated (either in lollipop or marshmallow). I tried something similar with ifconfig but still no progress. Will post here if I come up with something.

Ryan1976, you should use "ip" tool. Check this command: "ip link help".
But if you connect USB Ethernet device you should have information in dmesg. It there is no mention about recognised device there you've got no luck.

                            Hi

installed latest 4.0.11 on my friends Tronsmart R28 and it works but the ethernet stopped working, when I enabled it it just says getting IP info... and then just zeros, also the WiFi acting strange after reboot, it won't connect immediately it takes couple of minutes before it connects. any one else noticed this? anything I can do? thanks

That might have something to do with new/old R89 versions. Or maybe Ethernet MAC adress isn't set properly but this occasional issue should be resolver long ago (regression?).

Check with ip tool if eth0 interface has proper MAC adress. Output from "ip link eth0 show" should look like:
                              Code:
                              2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP mode DEFAULT qlen 1000
                                  link/ether 02:a9:55:d3:ef:06 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
Where 02:a9:55:d3:ef:06 is MAC address. If there are only zeros then give a note. I will tell you what to do.

today it started to work just like that after reboot ... it died again after reboot later.

edit: I used terminal and typed ip link and got this on eth0: 12:49:ed:d8:47:42 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
