I'm counting on that but right now when I hold power button after few seconds I've got soft reboot (revolving Wasser's logo). I will check if this isn't connected to some setting and my specific instalation procedure (update without misc.img). I would like someone to test if one can call out "Power menu" in Wasser's MM ROM v4.0.11.

Edit: Disabling "Advanced reboot" didn't help with soft reboot problem after holding power button. IIRC similar problem was with one of the first Marshmallow ROM. Solution was in resource file but I don't know it. Wasser save us .

Is there a way to flash the new firmware without loosing all the apps and settings? It's a pain to restart with each update from zero.

Certainly there is. I'm doing so from Wasser's MM ROM version 4.0.5 succesfully or this time it went somewhere wrong . (Look on my post about soft reboot when initiating Power menu)

To do so you have to extract files (system.img, resource.img, recovery.img, boot.img, loader, parameter.txt) from Wasser's ROM one big file. Then flash everything besides misc.img. I for this task use two applications: 1. Android Tool v2.3 and 2. RK31xx_firmware v5.xxx. See here.

              [QUOTE=andreyh;n610579]Hi Wasser!

I'm very disappointed with my R89. All versions prior Marshmallow including a stock are struggling of asynchronous video/audio playing HLS streams.
I had a hope that you could fix interlacing issue in your 4.0.x version but it did not happen
              /QUOTE]

this is an problem in rockchips's library which is only in binary available. It's not possible to fix it from my side. I hope rockchip will fix it in the future.

it's not fixed in 4.0.11. But This issue is now fixed and it will be included in the next release.

                  i cannot reproduce this issue.

I was afraid of this. I think it might be connected with the system data degradation because I upgraded ROM from version 4.0.6 untill 4.0.11 through not full wipe method (no misc.img flashed).
Not so big problem for me. Even with this I can not thank you enough .

Wasser, thanks a lot for all the hard work

It looks like RKMC passthrough works on 4.0.11 over SPDIF! Thanks Wasser! I only had a few minutes to test it but RKMC looks pretty good running from a fast SD Card instead of using the built in memory. See this forum to learn more. I noticed that the Wasser image didn't the HDMI refresh rate when I used RKMC. That might be a limitation of RKMC. I was just impressed to finally hear 5.1 audio from RKMC. It's been a long time and I'm really glad to see it working again. I'll test more and over the next few days and report back.

Do you have a chance to test if HDMI passthrough works as well? I can't get it to work with the marshmallow rom, but it works fine with the lollipop rom.

Unfortunately HDMI audio passthrough does not work on Wasser 4.0.11 with RKMC, ES Media Player, or the default movie player.

There's something wrong in last relases. My home internet connection becomes extremely slow when TV box is on. I watched on router stats and WAN traffic is up to 20 Gb/day!

You better check your router in case it is compromised (virus). Especially if it is made by Zyxel. There is new problem with open port 74xx and access to remote configuration (protocol TR-069?).

I didn't notice any increase in network traffic after installing any Wasser's ROM.
