    Thank you Wasser.

@Digitalriver: That's very good news. Especially part about SD card and choosing how it can be use by system.

            Sure.
I use torrent-tv apk to watch tv channels through MX Player. On original firmwares prior Android 5 HD channels are shown deinterlaced - so they are just fine.
On 5.0 and greater - Marshmallow as well the same channels are shown interlaced - I see even and odd lines during playback.
MX Player is in HW mode. All configurations are the same.
I assume that there is a flag in hardware that can be switched on to deinterlace a video automatically. It is my educated guess

There is another theme in this forum about a problem:

it's a problem in rockchip binary and it's not possible to fix it unless rockchip is willing to fix it.

                    4.0.3 Beta 3 feedback

                    Testing done using WiFi 2.5Ghz
All video testing using MX Player Pro with 1.8 custom audio codec
                    HDMI Bitstream enabled.
HDMI display resolutionset as default of 1920x1080p-60Hz

Installed OK on top of previous Ugoos KP 3.0.7+
Fast boot up time (just like the last Alpha and much improved on LP)
                    Navigation and status bar present.
Power button, when held down has all the options that you would need.
UI as usual is very smooth and responsive.
                    Root working.
Connect to PC now works for MTP.
Cn now access external SD card and USB drives also accessible ((also regognised by the brand name too, Sandisk, Toshiba etc)
When trying to access Display in settings, the error 'Unfortunately settings has stopped' is returned. All other settings that I accessed seemed to work fine. (Did try a reflash after erasing but remins the same).
WiFi seen on both 2,4 and 5Ghz channels and connects to each without issue, with 5Ghz working very fast.
                    Ethernet good too.
Chrome web browsing nice and smooth and fast response to loading web pages

                    Video Playback

                    MX Player

10 bit video struggles and either plays in a form of blurry slow motion or hardly at all.
Dolby 5.1 and DTS plays well on all videos. The odd litle stutter on things like Planet earth from pole to pole or Rotation camera test but generally at the beginning as sound is switched to surround.
DTS HD is downgraded to 5.1 but plays perfectly.
TrueSound, Atmos etc downgraded to 5.1 but you don't get the original sound (although I did find on a couple of TrueHD files that it would output in PCM).
General 4K video plays smoothly and without issues.
                    4K HEVC very good across the board except .ts (140512_hm130_4s_sao_dbf.ts and Eutelsat W1 11429 V - 4k Test Sample - 2014-01-26_17-10-27_cut.ts)
High bitrate files such as Jellyfish play smoothly.
Colour reproduction all round crisp and vivid and with great depth.

Youtube smooth playback at 1080p and picture quality looks better than usual too, so likely that 60fps is working.
                    iPlayer working fine.

I did carry out the same testing with the HDMI Resolution set at 1920x1080p-50Hz but video playback across the board is full of the jitters, so not recommended, even if you do live in an area where 50Hz is the default. Luckily most TV's for the past 5 years have auto switching between 50 and 60 in the settings so you should be OK but do check if you find video playback not generally smooth.

                    Kodi

I'm not going to report on any Kodi tests because with so many forks around and versions of those forks too, any testing would not give identifiable and reproducible results.

I did test a very new fork of RKMC with the RK Codec just to see but found that passthrough wasn't working and playback quality was very variable with the RK Codec switched on.

Switching it off will of course mean that it cannot make the best use of the RK SOC and will therefore have some issues.

However, I do know that RKMC and forks based upon this are coming along nicely and I tested one on an LP ROM last night that worked rather well.

With this firmware being MM there are going to be sources required from Rockchip to get things up to the same level but as we can see with this ROM, now having audio passthrough is yet another step forward.

                    As ever, great job Wasser.

Update: Just spent 2 hours watching continual Youtube 1080p videos with no break and it didn't skip a beat.
NTFS and ExFAT USB Flash drives tested as working

4.0.3 is really good for a beta!

                      What works:
MX Player works really well with the 1.8 codec. Including 5.1 DD and DTS
-Note, I am watching 30GB MKV movies over gigabit wired ethernet
-Note, the movies seemed to take a minute to settle down. Some frames were dropped during the first minute.
Bluetooth works great on my Logitech K810
                      Logitech M325 mouse works great
Youtube 1080p and 720p drop frames

                      What doesn't work so well:
My wireless (2.4ghz not Bluetooth) Microsoft and Logitech mice don't work very well. They are jerky
My wired USB mice and wired USB keyboards don't work well either. Mice are jerky. Keyboard the keys repeat too quickly

These are older mice and keyboards. I wonder if the driver support was removed.

That doesn't sound good ;(. Maybe you should try other USB port. Preferably OTG (micro USB). In Beta1 USB mouse and keyboard are butter smooth.

Did either of you tried sleep mode (suspend)? In Beta 1 after short sleep (few seconds) all seems to be okay but after longer sleep duration or few more suspends I encounter analog audio output distortion (white noise) or even whole system crashes.

-Note, I had to let the movie settle down before it had perfect playback. The first few minutes had dropped frames.

I'll report back on the 5.1 soon.
i cannot reproduce the jerky issue with the mouse and keyboard. I have tesed many of them and it works fine. Can someone please test if you can reproduce it?

it seems the analog audio output distortion appears on some old beelink devices. It will be fixed in next release
the suspend issue was already fixed in 4.0.3 beta3

Suspend seems OK to me and I have the earlier board release.

Can't reproduce the jerky mouse/keyboard issue and have tried with a Microsoft wireless mouse/keyboard set and a Logitech K400 Plus that has both the K400 and a Logitech mouse paired to the unifying receiver.
