I will put some extra height rubber feet pads on when I get some - till then I just put box on its side for maximum heat disappation. Worth doing - makes a big difference. I was getting some spurious freezes which I think were caused by overheatiing as I run the box 24/7 on IPTV. All fine now.

I was thinking to use thermal pad under the box, instead of drilling it and opening it.these pads need paste or not?

A thermal pad under the box will do absolutely zero! You need either a thermal pad or thermal paste between the thin metal heatsink and the thick heatsink inside the box. the idea of the holes is to allow heat to disapate more effictively. Its easy to prise open - start at where the rj45 connector is. Get a thin knife and insert it between base and side and softly lever up . It only clipped in by plastic ridges - it will open all round easily. and clips back together no problem. Recommend this simple mod . Wish I had taken a temperature reading before - now running about 55c according to CPUZ.

Take note beelink - the GT1 could definately do with some venting holes in the base to allow heat to disapate more effectively. It runs hot.
Tnx for your advices m8! Really appreciate them!

Did you checked the temperature of the box? Maybe overheating may be the cause for that!
Or did you upgrade the firmware to latest?

              Hi,

I upgrade to the lates firmware.
It is not the heat because i've put some heatsink and drill some holes....the cpu temp is 60.
I think the problen is the last firmware.....i have to ubplug and plug the power 5 times to make it boot. I even made an factory reset via pinhole but nothing....the same.

I would just flash the firmware once more.
                Doesn't hurt trying I guess.

The latest firmware has not been successful for many users.
On 16th page of this thread, you can find information about going back to factory default firmware.
If you want to return to the factory default firmware, please follow the instructions given in that video.

I updated no problem at all. As ASW1 suggested try downloading latest version 104 and flash it again using SD card. http://www.bee-link.com/Beelink-533-1-1.html Thats always a safer way of doing it.
If you still find you have an issue go back to an older version of firmware by same method.

Did you get no joy trying to reflash via SD card? You could try bootcardmaker whttp://chinagadgetsreviews.blogspot.com/2015/04/how-to-unbrick-any-amlogic-devices.html with latest firmware . It makes the SD card and associated files bootable without need for toothpick. If that wont work think you will have to ask Beelink or amlogic for that info. Good luck

My GT1 is dead after update.. I updated the firmware it was working fine for a hour or so.. I turned it off and unplugged power over night and the next day tried to use and wont power up.. I checked power adapter in another box so i know its good.. No lights on the inside or screen powering up. Craziest thing ever

you know what i am going to say something that i think most are too scared to say

This box currently is a dog and i am a Beelink fanboy

My Beelink MiniMXIII is twice the box this is

So disappointed with this box, expected big things from this thought it would be the next big thing tbh

I got my box and excitedly installed GTA San Andreas expecting it to fly (was i being naive?)

it runs hot, laggy and generally all round not good atm

The original firmware was ok for the box, the latest is very poor

Please do not take this post as me being a troll or hating on the box

Beelink get your heads out of your bottoms and give us the box you promised
