Updating is personal choice - there is always a small risk. Follow the correct procedure and 99% of the time it will be successful. I did as I wanted root - in my case I updated no issue at all.

The Video Tutorial please refer to:
Thanks, but it is not IMG file,it is OTA update when your android works. If your box can not enter into android ,then this solution will not work.
I can not enter into android, and need IMG file for recovery via sd card,or i can use some, or all of this files and go to pin hole recovery menu and to sellect some of this files?

If you have power light on and it wont boot either normally or into recovery sounds like its hard bricked.! If you can get hold of a GT1 firmware img file you could try USB burning tool from the PC. I havent tried doing this as I have a running updated system but if it was corrupted during update I would.
Also does anyone know what to pins to short on the chip?Last edited by sandog; 05 October 2016, 16:48.Nvidia Sheild Tv

Just any pin to insert into the hole on the backside and press it when you plugging the power cord into the power in of the tv box.
Just follow the video in the previous posts.

Dont know if the the lastest firmware made temp any higher but as the box has run relatively hot since I got it I drilled 9 small holes in the back where the large heatplate is situated and a few others round the base cover- similar to what previous poster suggested. As I had no thermal pads also replaced the pink thermal paste on the heatsink with some artic cooling paste(will replace with thermal pad when I get some) Made a big defference as it definatley runs a lot cooler. Suprised that Beelink didnt have some cooling holes as standard design on the box.
