But at the moment the updates are creating lot of problems including the tv box not powering on.

So, At the moment updating the Beelink GT1 is not recommended.
Hence don't update until all the problems are solved. Please follow this thread for further future information.

Please stay with the factory default firmware, until a new update solves existing problems.
Only if the update fails and the box will subsequently not boot will a factory reset potentially hep. If the firmware updated successfully you cannot go back to previous release by a factory reset. The updated firmware becomes the default. You would need a hard copy firmware download to revert .
Updating is personal choice - there is always a small risk. Follow the correct procedure and 99% of the time it will be successful. I did as I wanted root - in my case I updated no issue at all.

I am sure you already have but have you checked the supplied power plug is still working. Its a fairly common connector - one of your other box leads should fit. The MXIII one does. If you have power light on and it wont boot either normally or into recovery sounds like its hard bricked.! If you can get hold of a GT1 firmware img file you could try USB burning tool from the PC. Best of luck.

        Hi
Thanks, but it is not IMG file,it is OTA update when your android works. If your box can not enter into android ,then this solution will not work.
I can not enter into android, and need IMG file for recovery via sd card,or i can use some, or all of this files and go to pin hole recovery menu and to sellect some of this files?

Extract the files to SD card and boot using toothpick. It should install the firmware . The linked update OTA zip is over 500MBs - I would say thats the full firmware not just add on for existing firmware. I havent tried doing this on the GT1 as I have a running updated system but if it was corrupted during update I would. I have done it successfully this way numerous times on MXIII s802/S812 boxes.

Is the power light on.? If so you could download the firmware thats been posted https://mega.nz/#F!bIVGFaKY!Om3XTxlHmjPB4x2_jukFYw and give toothpick SD card with firmware a try. It might work as it incorporates recovery.img If that doesnt work ask Bee- link for an img file so you can try with USB burning tool.

Those of you, being on latest fw are you having high temp issues? How's compared to the fw came out of the box?

Also does anyone know what to pins to short on the chip?

Yes, just format to FAT32 and extract the rar to root of SD card! All the bootable is in the rar file, so don't worry about that.
Just any pin to insert into the hole on the backside and press it when you plugging the power cord into the power in of the tv box.
Just follow the video in the previous posts.

                        since
Dont know if the the lastest firmware made temp any higher but as the box has run relatively hot since I got it I drilled 9 small holes in the back where the large heatplate is situated and a few others round the base cover- similar to what previous poster suggested. As I had no thermal pads also replaced the pink thermal paste on the heatsink with some artic cooling paste(will replace with thermal pad when I get some) Made a big defference as it definatley runs a lot cooler. Suprised that Beelink didnt have some cooling holes as standard design on the box.

Hi - its more or less same as bigall123 did. post #122 . It looks like you have already looked at his photos. I just used thermal paste instead of pads. I will put some extra height rubber feet pads on when I get some - till then I just put box on its side for maximum heat disappation. Worth doing - makes a big difference. I was getting some spurious freezes which I think were caused by overheatiing as I run the box 24/7 on IPTV. All fine now.
