Why does Rockchip devices report the full 1.99 GB RAM available?
It would just be interesting if someone can explain the difference between the different methods and hardware Amlogic and Rockchip use.

Yes, it's possible to get the memory back on headless Linux. An example straight from my bootscript:

          Code:
if test "${nographics}" = "1"; then fdt rm /reserved-memory; fdt rm /aocec; fi

I don't have the Box yet, but I'm interesting to add a Heat Sink too...
How easy was to open this Box? Can you give some instructions?

I used plastic pic that i used to repair my ipad screen with. Prised the bottom plate. I have just put a 64gb samsung sd card in the beelink gt1 & it formats it for internal storage but the box just will not accept it for some reason.

These boxes usually only accept up to a 32gb sd card. Maybe try putting some music and/or movies on the card (from your pc) to "take up some space" and then put it back into android box and see if it'll work. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

No i just got it working. When you put the 64GB card in. Make sure you don't have a USB stick plugged in, Because it wont work. You have to format it first on PC first to fat32. But ts working grate now.

bigall123, if you finally add a Heat Sink on it, please take a photo with it, before you close the Box... Because I don't see space for something like this.
It's great to see that supports 64GB microSD in practise! And maybe 128GB too...!!!

In order to put a heat sink in the beelink gt1. You will have to remove the metal plate on the under side of the box. The reason being is, I'm putting a 1" by 5 mm heat sink in place of the metal plate because I don't think the heat shield that covers the CPU, is touching the plate on the bottom. PS. I'm even thinking of drilling a couple of holes on the bottom & putting bigger feet on it for air to get in.
