Please check the SN Code at the bottom of the device, 77 represents 9377, P5 represents 6255
If your SN code does NOT match one of thes both version, You might not use them at all. In this case you need to wait until you get an update.

FIrst make sure your SD card is formatted FAT32 or it won't work. Copy files to SD card (factory_update_param.aml, recovery.img & TX5Pro-p212-ota-20160813.zip), open Update and Backup app and Select TX5Pro-p212-ota-20160813.zip from SD card, click update, confirm to reboot then sit back and relax while it updates.

Note that this is not the modded firmware found in the first post of this thread, it's an official update for Tanix TX5 Pro ONLY.

i updated this new 813 version but CloudTV is still not working, plus wireless keyboard is still problematic(Return key functioning as letter Q).

Do you think it would work on a95x (905x version)? As it has the same processor az the TX5Pro.

thanks for the info , does the update overlay or wipe?????, only as i have spent ages configuring kodi and wouldnt want to lose it

Just back up your kodi folders. all you need are the addons, media, and userdata folders. Path is sd/android/data/org.xbmc. kodi/files/.kodi/copy those 3 folders to usb or some where that will not be overwriten by the rom. and then replace the files after rom is installed. works on all platforms as well.

as far as the keyboard goes. Enter is q because the default position when your typing is on the letter q. Use the d pad to done. type away then press OK or enter and it will not strike the letter q.

you seem not know this issue is related with buggy firmware.
