I have been researching on how to improve the cooling of the TV box, for now i have installed one heat sink more bigger from an old vga, and I will try to place a fan of 7cm on the top, with a metal grid.

The power will be obtained from one of the usb ports, soldering two cables at the bottom of the pcb, it have ground and + 5v. The usb port goes off when the tvbox is turned off, without the red led.

The fan is an avc 7cm used in on the coolers of amd phenom, it have a small sensor that controls the rpm depending of the temperature.

When i have it finished i will put some pics.

So im buying the Alfawise to replace this old box: (MXQ S805 1GB/8GB KODI 14.2 Quad Core Android 4.4 1080P HD H.265 HEVC TV Box Android Mini PC)
It actually works ok just cant upgrade to kodi 17 with Android 4.4
Is it possible to update this boxes Android version to 5.1?
If so ill use it for a backup box and take it when im going out of town etc :-)

            Hello

Hi there is a problem, also think that should be jack 4 pin.

But on the PCB be a jack on the 3 pin

Take away from this gnd it's just to be 2 pin per signal

Just look in the photo of pcb and my fast picture improwization

The blue line -- this is a gnd.

            update...........

            I got a damaged tvbox

Short circuit Video signals to GND

Finished, i'm waiting for the 70mm grid of ****. Temps are dropped some 30 degrees.

Its very important that the fan have a sensor/controller of rpm, its reduces the noise and the power comsumption.

To making the hole in the case i've used an hand saw coping. I've used 8 screews for fans (10mm long), the fan have 20 mm in the side.

The fan expel out the hot air and the orientetation of the fan helps to reduce dust inside the case.

Also i've discovered the two hidden usb ports.

              I hope yours comments.

An update on my box... just got it :-)
Interesting couple things though, the website lists it as having Android vs 7 but it only has 6.1 installed. Even lists it as 6.1 on the bottom of the unit.
Fine with me since 7 seems a little buggy still, can always upgrade later.
Also says it has Kodi 17 but it had 16 installed.
Again no priblem, the first thing i was planning on doing was deleting and reinstalling that anyways.

Other than that the unit is amazing ...its so much faster than my old one and Kodi runs great no more freezing whem paused, sudden crashes etc, im a happy man :-)

Typical china marketing and 7 isnt the greatest yet needs work wait for super celeron to release when out.
Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

I already said how well its 7 on this boxes.... since im using it on my h96... dont expect miracles.. and its worse than 6 on video files, it have the to dark bug fixed without the need to add a boot video, Ui lags.
And that is it, im 2 busy making roms for other devices that i could not do my touch on it... i will get there eventually...

android 7 firmware stock from banggood Firmware Android 7.1 Version: https://mega.nz/#F!d1tHVZgA!Qc0mAom7FBHT9HDv3rGtGQ

think of this as beta . use at own risk . superceleron reports it runs Hot 82C and cpu usage is high 20 to 50% .

Anybody tried this? Some experience? It's worth it?
Now, i use this one, aml_s912_q9377-H96ProPlus(3+32)-20170308, and I have some trouble with HDMI CEC, power on/off and slow transfer, even on the cable.

The firmware for BeeLink GT1 can be compatible with Alfawise H96pro plus?

superceleron thanks so much for all your hard work. I bought one of these buggy as shit devices and it completely died on me. I'm a noob who dares to adventure so attempted to flash your V2 rom via the SD card method which was surprisingly a slick and quick process! Your work has saved this box from the trash can and for that I am ever grateful. I followed a lot of the different guides on these S912 Alfawise forums and eventually succeeded by using the Amlogic boot card maker, you r V2 rom (renamed 'update') on a 4GB SD card (failed on a larger size card)

                            Keep up the good work!
