Passthrough Fix (Thank you itsmeedoofer for getting me headed in the right direction)
To use the passthrough fix. Go into android settings more settings apps privileges and turn on storage privileges. then notifications and give it priority. Launch the app and use reboot button. Give it root privileges.
From then on after rebooting wait until you hear the notification sound and see the app has received root privileges. Most of the time it takes 15 seconds after you see launcher. It takes a while longer at first. And I had to reboot several times to settle down. The app is waiting for boot complete from the OS and it lots of apps are starting it will extend the time.
http://www.mediafire.com/download/5k...ix_Tx5_Pro.zip updated 8/23/16
You can test the update script by opening terminal emulator and typing su then update....It downloads and to confirm it works you see "It Worked"
Confirmed to work on
Tanix TX5 Pro
MINIM8SII
Nexbox A5
Nexbox A95x All
COOLEME MB1 (remote works with no modification/ Bluetooth doesn't)

Power implementation is bit better than on MINI M8S too, mostly thanks to added option to go to standby mode. That means I could go into and out of power on/off, and standby using the remote control. Power consumption was measure with a power meter in 6 different configurations:- Power off – 0.4 watt
- Standby – 0.4 watts
- Idle – 2.4 watts
- Power off + USB HDD – 1.1 watt
- Standby + USB HDD – 0.4 watt
- Idle + USB HDD – 4.1 to 5.2 watts
It looks rather good. The only oddity is that Power off with USB hard drive consumes more than in standby, and there does not appear to be advantages (in terms of power consumption) of going into power off mode, instead of standby. Standby will also save you some time, as you don’t need to wait for 30 seconds to boot. Power off might be a little safer for your data, depending on how the firmware has been implemented.

You should be using SPMC with these boxes, NOT Kodi. SPMC is written by the android dev from Kodi. He left because of infighting and now Kodi DOES NOT HAVE PROPER ANDROID SUPPORT!
Please use SPMC instead.
Also only the -H versions of these processors has the proper license for DTS. None of these boxes have the S905X-H processor. Getting DTS support will be hit or miss. ATMOS and TRU HD will also be a gamble.

Actually at this for too long I had the wrong post quoted. Probably confused everyone
OK so I have everything working but TWRP and the recovery button (I just get a droid with an x). I can access default recovery via reboot recovery and the remote doesn't work to control the recovery, but that doesn't really matter because if everything works properly I shouldn't need to go into recovery anyway. Still it'd be nice to fix it but the remote and display refresh rate switching is more important for now.Last edited by steocullen91; 28 January 2017, 05:13."HANDS ARE NATURES FORKS" -Rigby
