I think you have to manually install the driver.
After you choose "Update driver software", click the "Let me pick from a list of devices" button and then click the "Have disk" button to manually select the 64bit driver file. Choose "Install anyway" if you get a warning message.

Hello everyone,

I was wondering, anyone get lucky connecting dualshock 3 to the device and play games with it? also I can get the mouse to work either,tin core map is a mess, at list for me and I can't install some apps like tv launcher or rk remote.

Any ideas?

Then its the cable 100%.
Its not that you have a bad cable. Just do not use any adapters or extension combo cables. Buy a MicroUSB to USB (male) cable if you dont have one and it will work.

I had the same problem like many others. Please read the first pages in this thread about it.

New fw works fine. but i freezed in the middle of installing something.
Anyway.
For the second run started video.
DTS works. 5.1 works.
.264 and normal sized videos runs perfectly.
full hd video sized to 0x0 and no picture.

for tomorrow I'll watch some videos from begining to the ends.

first reaction is a big "GOAL".

thanks for feedback.
its good that dts is working i dont have such reciver so couldn test it myself.
as of full hd video be sure to tray with galery and mx player.

freakktab freaks me out!

i find it meanwhile freaktab goes online again.
i tried the videos on plex.
since this firmware (kingnovel offical, and yours before it) full hd vids are started well.
just with this fw got this 0x0 dim and blank screen error.
but the sound goes under this blank screen, so the video starts, just got some error to project it to the screen.

how can i activate the IR remote?
should i use an app for it? or what can i set to work with it?
i done everything with an Wless mouse (with usb receiver).

- No DHCP works, static IP set up and works well.
- If I turn off from the remote and I can not restart, I have to disconnect the power and reconnect.
- Pass-trought does not work, just hear constant noise, like the stock.
I see the options in the audio menu selecione pass-trought but I did not do anything.

Try to connect to another USB port.
I had similar problem when i used USB port integrated into my monitor (e.g monitor has USB HUB).I moved to a port on MB and now everything is working perfectly.

dolby passtrougt working for sure as i can test it myself
and as of now 1 user said dts is working and 1 said is not.

power off from remote will shutoff device if you want to get it to sleep pres sleep buton so it will wake up using remote.
after power off (complite shoutdown) there is no need to unplug the power from device just press power button on it.

sorry, i just tested it in PLEX application. it has got a square the have i checked to the AC3 function (and another for the DTS).
i'm not tested it in XBMC yet.
tomorrow i'll try to sratch here a more experienced feedback. i'll try the xbmc for you in it.

anyway on my dekstop the xbmc has settings for several sound output in SYSTEM/SETTINGS/SYSTEM/AUDIO OUTPUT.
while i'll test it, try in there, maybe U can got the answere there.

I will continue testing and combinations to see if I see something weird.

What most concerns me is the AC3 the rest I do not care.

I've been following this thread long, long before they have this device, just 2 days.

Hi Lewy. Thank you for the update! I downloaded and tested v2.0.1 but i have a couple of problems with my C918

AV out - I get thick yellow stripes after the first logo (the one with the Geekbuying logo). The desktop is running in the background but the stripes makes it unusable.
Hdmi - The initial resolution is set to 1080p but the signal is not stable. It shows for 2-3 seconds and then is looses the signal for a while and then it shows again for 2-3 seconds and so on. I changed the resolution to 720p 60hz in settings but same story.

I rebooted 2-3 times but nothing changes.

My TV is Sony bravia 32" (720p native) wich plays nice with your FW v1.12.
