i have bad news.
my website Bandwidth Limit Exceeded so you want be able do download
xbmc by xbmc installer and TV launcher 3D.
i will need to change host for xbmc but i can do that only by firmware update.
if anyone can donate even if its 1$ i will help alot to get a website working again.
its not easy for me to ask for this but im not realy a reach person so i cant aford it by my self.
please understand.
i will put this info in my posts for now so users will know why xbmc installer dont work.

Hi,
Could someone make a 'howto' for upgrading the cs918 ?

I'm faced with two modes: ( it seems)
1.rktool with 'pink' aka 'rock mass storage device'
2. recovery menu (like user Psychorat)
finless rom tool... says nope

Usb cable is directly connected to pc ( usb debuging is enabled)
Windows driver is installed..
Hitting 'switch' button in 'pink' mode, makes the device go to sleep (blue becomes red on device)

I installed a mount commands in the startup files ...

They create the directories ... but the system takes almost 2 minutes Before the
Directories are active with the data from the shared device ..

I can go into ES Explorer right after I boot the player and the Network icon goes blue and I can Select / mount the same device immediately ... and browse it...
But I have to wait almost a full two minutes before the shares I mounted in the startup files become active ... very strange

This happens with both 720p and 1080p firmware ... 1.2.0

Thank for the ROM I like it and great work ... keep it up ...

There in first lines :

busybox sleep 80

It's pause for 80 sec.
You can less this num.

Do You know what command to put in the start up script to change the wifi/ethernet name of the player ...

I tried this but it does not work ....

setprop net.hostname familyroom

The system say it does but My router and other computers still say it has not changed even after rebooting the router and other computers on my network ...the player say the hostname has changed but it does not change on the network ...

Any thoughts ...

After upgrading the new 1080p firmware. I don't see any changed. I still must select the 1920x1080 60hz, and still scale the screen, so what is the different between 1080p and 720p
