Mouse cursor

dear Developers,

Not strictly related to usefullness of the device ,but do anyone knows how to get rid of the enormous mouse cursor when a real mouse attached? I plan to use RDP connection and this huge thing is ruining the console experience. tried to look for an application or a hack on XDA, but found nothing.

I lent my hi718 to a colleague for the weekend but will check the new rom when I get it back.

Keep up the good work, thanks for the hard work you already did!

Then its the cable 100%.
Its not that you have a bad cable. Just do not use any adapters or extension combo cables. Buy a MicroUSB to USB (male) cable if you dont have one and it will work.

I had the same problem like many others. Please read the first pages in this thread about it.

i tryed 4 cables, same resault:
i have two my Galaxy S3 usb to microUSB original samsung cable...
also i have 2 Usb -> microUSB that cam with the cs918 order....
those 4 cables are same resault as the pic in my previos post
i am sure i miss something but don't know what...
i think its some thing about the driver

I found the black screen problem at boot with fw 2.0 and 2.0.1

The problem comes from the default boot resolution that is not supported by my Sony Bravia TV.

I tried to boot with a LCD PC screen and I can see boot animation, that's fine ;-)

So I flash fw 1.2.2 with last wasser kernel and try all resolution on my Sony Bravia TV.

With 1.2.2 I can see boot as default resolution should be lower as in 2.0 firmware.

1.2.0 with default kernel, all resolution are accepted by my Bravia TV
1.2.2 with last wasser kernel all 720p resolution are OK but for 1080p only 1080p/24 is ok, /30 /50 /60 produce black screen ! Same issue as fw 2.0 boot problem.

checked, AC3 does not work with any player, I tested with the native and MX and nothing. With HDMI pass-thought the movie starts, it makes a noise and you hear the audio but not AC3.
With SPDIF not heard anything.

About the sleep mode, it wakes up alone. Active sleep mode but after about 10 seconds wakes up alone, this could be that some of my network service as DLNA wake the device.

i have a ut1 and have the same problem - with the new fw 2.0 and 2.0.1 i do not get constant screen on my tv.

with 1.2.2 and even with the 2.0 SDK i did get correct screen on my HD tv - it can not be the cable because the only thing changed is the fw + software on the ut1 - if i put 1.2.2 back - i have no problem with the resolution.

My cable works fine with the stock based firmware,and its good quality but i also tried with another brand new cable with the same results.

After trying all resolutions, i noteced that the 576p 50/60 is stable and i tested some things.

The first thing i did was to lower the cpu frequency to 1.6Ghz to compare with the previous FW.
The overall performance is briliant!! Antutu 4 gives me 19475 (1.6Ghz) and 20799 (1.8Ghz)
The system works smooth and stable.
Wifi/internet all great like in stock. Though i dont have lan to test the dhcp issue.
My 1080p Avatar trailer plays smooth with internal, MX player and XBMC. No stuttering at all.

1. frequent random auto shut down for no reasons (need to power up the set again).
2. Remote controller that comes with the set not working still.

the lan/wifi mac adresse is ramdom when the driver loads, it's expected behavor.

no passtrought suppor on xbmc.
to get this working you need to have pached libmedia, new ver xbmc compiled with passtrough hack + advancedsetting.xml
next ver will have it all apart from xbmc that i will put link in first post
as of resolution to me its better that latest wasser kernels start with 1080p rather than 720p.
if you dont have compatible tv try flashing erlier wasser kernel its starting at 720p.
and please dont report remotes not working for device difrent than k-r42 ok.
this firmware is for k-r42 and there like 5/8 clones with difrent remotes so i cant fix them all.
