I'm almost 100% sure. I lost half a day searching for metod to read it from for example eFuse memory but probably there is nothing of this sort. It isn't by chance that stock firmware has exact same issue.
MAC address can be easly fixed, just add command
ifconfig eth0 hw ether xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx somewhere in init script
of course this will cause chaos if you have more that one device with same firmware in same network. But there is solutions for that too - mac could be generated randomly on first boot stored in file and then used in ifconfig
Other solution is to use wifi mac addres+1

Hi lewy ,I flash 2.0.1, then 2.0.2, then 2.0.3, on all three Roms wifi did not work consistently, the program did not work for watching online movies (ivi, megogo, ivi music)
After switching from mode "sleep" does not work usb disk, it disappears from the system
      I back to 1.2.0
      Ps. i talk about k-r42
edit:as it turned out, wifi bad work only when connected to usb disk

there are two problems: either not each time the exits "sleep" with the remote "air mouse rc11", and the fact that after the reboot usb disk disappears from the system corrects only reconnection

Like in any other Android device. Swap "/mnt/external_sd" with "/mnt/sdcard" in /etc/vold.fstab file.
If you have HFW v2.0.3 or above then it shouldn't need to remount /system partition in R/W mode because it is set that way.

@lewy20041. It is only me or from some unknow to me reason /system partition isn't remounted into R/O mode after boot?

            CWM

How do you navigate within CWM. Remote does not work, nor does my mouse?

cwm-recovery.img contains not only kernel. It is recovery partition with ClockWorkMod software. To find out how to use it search with Google. You must flash it into appropriate partition called "recovery" not where working kernel is.

Now you must flash proper kernel again.

As for NTFS USB drive it should work in R/W mode with almost any kernel compiled by wasser for K-R42 because there is Fuse agent build into them.

I use USB keyboard DPAD keys. Volume keys work also. Remote control should work but in CWM custom recovery dated prior to 20th of September there was inproper kernel.

Search this thread and look for: "custom-recovery-with_kernel-200913.img". Flash it from for example Terminal Emulator:
              flash_image recovery custom-recovery-with_kernel-200913.img

Has anyone taken a look at these apps? All of which have trouble streaming with the CS918 and others..

                        CS918

The firmeware HFW 2.0.4 works with the cs918?

On the first page has "! For now only for K-R42 without bluetooth!" This left me in doubt!
