    @wasser

    Hello,

of course it is your decision, but is there a reason why you're not build in OC in your kernel (releasing different OC versions)?

I think CPU isn't so important, RAM perhaps, but I think GPU can be useful...

If you wouldn't want to do so, is it possible to build my own kernel like the way described by Phjanderson's guide for Marvin an what K-R42 specials do I have to know?

    Greetings

thanks to user pablo11 who posted latest firmware for ugoos.
i asked bob and he pached the kernel to 1080p for me.
playback quality on this kernels is much much better without the need of vsync fix.
just the firmware needed some changes to adopt it.
i will still get users a choice eather of use your kernels or this new ones but the default one will be new stock kernels.

edit: only downside i found is remote not working as it should
and nfs is working but when you play a video with stock player you will get gray lines and system frezze, but mx player in HW+ mode is working greate and video quality is gorgus!!!:"

      edit2:
found a way to use wasser kernels but nfs bug still is there;p
i have tested the latest ugoos's kernel and have noticed a little improvement (in compare to stock kernel) related to playing video. I assume it has the sam's vsync fix.

i don't see any nfs problem wit my kernel

i tested the latest ugoos's firmware (adopt for k-r42) and noticed a problem in this rom in related to lan network. ifconfig reports many errors by rx/tx packets (it's not the cable problem! i don't see this issue with cm-10.1 with the same kernel/cable on my k-r42 box) it seems a bug in rom! this issue should show up in 2.0.x rom too.

                      Slow/Hangs

I used the latest beta ROM.

Pretty often when i went to the settings and doing other stuff, the system becomes that slow waiting to handle all the moves you did. For example, when i go up and right down and left with the mouse, the cursor is not reacting immedeatly but is very slow.. it will take some seconds and do the things it should do slow..

but then when i close everything, most of the time the system response is good again..

when i go to the browser for internet, it's always slow..

Does anyone have the same problems as me with the K-R42?

Hi wasser, could you please share the latest ugoos's firmware? I'm eager to test this one. Thanks.

Hmm thats weird.. No one has reported such problem..
The following questions might help other people to reproduce/solve your problem.

What mouse are you using? Wired/Wireless/BT (oops, BT is not posibble)? and what video output? (HDMI or AV out)
Have you used any other HFW except stock (i suppose) that worked well?
Did you try a different mouse even if you're sure that the mouse is working?
Or maybe reflash the firmware in case something went wrong?

                            2.0.3 - My test report

                            Lewy20041,

                            * The terminal app in the configuration section doesn´t work in 2.0.3 firmware. I installed an external app.

                            Samba/cifs:
                            * I couldn´t mount samba shared folders on boot (on previous firmwares such 1.2.0 I had no problems)
                            * I only could listen music without interruptions when I connect my lan resources with ES Explorer . When I mount cifs in a terminal, music has micro cuts and interruptions whatever music player I use (PowerAmp,ES Explorer's internal player, stock musci player, google music)

@psychorat. Sometimes I encounter similar behavior as above. I didn't raport it because I think it is hardware related (slow eMMC < 100 IOPS random write) and user related (heavy multitasking).
But I had got another issue of this sort. It take considerable amount of time to notice that it occures only when I reboot device with all USB port connected and WiFi enabled (RTL8188EU is using that bus). Besides it was clearly apparent in only few apps which you probably didn't use i.e. "Allegro" and "Ceneo" when I had problems with even screen scrolling. Factory reset and NAND format didn't help. Only unplugging my Game Pad solved that issue after reboot.

Thanks for you effort. But I'm affraid it is all in vain . With this kernel I only get proper MAC address when it is written into /data/misc/wifi/wlan_mac file. It is rather strange issue. After studding kernel source code I came to one conclusion that can only happen if unsigned char current_mac[6] declared in function vmac_open() from driver/net/rk29_vmac.c is zeroed. But it should contain "old" MAC which was randomly generated when vmac_probe was called. Only culprit is strlcpy() function which shouldn't be used in that case because it NULL terminate strings and copy only n-1 chars which in that particular situation means only 5 of 6 parts of MAC would be preserved. But why after another strlcpy it is all null it is beyond me.

Question: Did you set both kernel config variable or only ETH_MAC_FROM_WIFI_MAC? It rather seems that you went with the second option because in dmesg I do not see any entry mentioning anything about "IDB".
