Going from SCv8b to try out SC-ATV9 . Rather than re-installing all apk's , builds and so on manually, I plan to use titanium backup this time around

1° so that I can restore everything back if I choose to flash back to v8b (or any other standard version).
2° would be to backup apps/data that would be OK to restore on top of ATV version .

I would want to backup to SD card.
is TB the way to go or is there a more preferred method?

The only thing that I noticed is that I cant find/get into the important menu settings in Adaway for whitelisting/blacklisting, add sources, etc. There is no settings option in the red /orange menu bar at the top anymore, it only says Adaway in top left and the rest of the menu bar is blank (on non atv version setting change options appear in top right of this menu bar.) I'm not sure if this is related to the rom, or if adaway just doesn't work properly in androidtv? I tried clicking the settings/menu button on the remote, but that does nothing either. Can anyone tell me if there is another way to access the settings?

I think the problem is with Legacy ActionBar. I think any app developed without Material Design support have this problem. (If you use Android TV version)

Thanks for the info, I'm no dev, but I'm guessing that yer right. It's strange that the menu button on the remote doesn't even work for these apps though. Oh well, I ended up removing Adaway and installed Xposed MinMinGuard instead. Seems to work fine with all menu features accessible.

superceleron I have the a912 version and the SCV9A-ATV-6255-BTFIX edition works perfectly for many days now! Fantastic work!
I decided to flash the ATV Firefly Fix to see if the led would switch off at sleep (it does) but now I no longer have wifi and bt, so I guess this was not meant for A912. Can you please tell me how I can flash your kernel again? I don't know how to extract it from the img file

Now you have to reflash it...
And guys do a full shutdown, the box boot are so fast why not do a full shutdown?!
This is until i find a solution!

Some apps don't show up in the recent apps. Like ftmc and other unofficial apps. Anybody know a workaround?

Ok guys... i totally forgot this... to disable led when sleep on my kernel you guys need to go to "settings->Display->DayDream" and change "Power key action" to Hibernation and there you go led off and yes Hibernation is some type of sleep that is even better than sleep, it wakes fast as sleep.... Got it?!? LOL
