Overheating?

I bought the T428 in early May and since then I have tested n+1 kernels and ROMs on it. As of now the following combination represents the epitome of Android miniPC capability for media playback for me (stability, compatibility and performance in perfect balance):

• MK908/T428 Hybrid Firmware (HFW) 1.2.1
• kernel_molle_20130924_t428_1080p_cpu1800h_ddr720_g pu600_vsfsam
• xbmc-20130714-6ec63cd-adddroidlibstagefright-armeabi-v7a

The only thing I miss from v2.0.3 is the HDMI passthrough of multi-channel soundtracks. Otherwise I'd have no problems freezing my base system to the current level.

I have no doubts you'll be able to conjure miracles with the new ROM. Hopefully you'll be able live up to the challenge, unlike Strauzo who seems to have dropped the ball w/r/t the nexus rom for T428 (which used to be my favourite ROM prior to HFW 1.2.1)

With your Kernel my device gets hot playing a simple Angry Birds game and shuts down.How do you fix that? I miss a lot the mouse zooming feature, I can't use maps and similar apps.!!! Can someone implement it? The latest Minix stock ROM contains this feature. Otherwise I would stick to this configuration as well.

Unfortunatly, Lewy20041 firmware 1.2.x have lot of android basic subsystem missing ex: android sync. So you must use 2.x who are not cripple and working well. You may use stock firmware 05/30 with your prefered kernel, it is also working good with less freeze .

Try to limit the max CPU frequency to 1608MHz with the included 'no-frills CPU control' app. This can be found in the settings under 'Performance'.

I can't seem to unpack your image with imgrepack so I can't do a repack with the changes needed to make it work with the V3
I had 1.2.1 working on my V3 ages ago all you really need todo is throw the correct moduals in it and use the patched kernel I posted a a few days ago and it should be good

please try wendal tools to unpack the firmware

ok so I have 1.1.2 running on the v3 seems to work fine
2.xx is another story must be missing a lib or modual because it black-screen loops

Hrmmm what changes did you make t428 vrs MK908 everything but the output setting should be identical correct ? I matched the partition tables added the mk908 moduals and kernel no go ...

Can you detail what you changed for 1.1.1 to fix the reboot issue? Wondering if we can generalize your fix to finless and jjhmod because they both still reboot randomly for me. And since I have a V3 I cannot use what seems to be your awesome firmware.

I have a Idea on how I might get a working kernel for the V3 from existing sources ill post more tomorrow
