... Also, please feel free to install your own kernel-building environment. I have mine under VMware in Windows 8. Phjanderson's guide for Marvin includes good installation instructions.

Yes.

If you want to try kernels with close-to-stock speeds, have a look at this thread. Phjanderson has released a wide variety of video-fixed kernels ranging from stock to extreme oc'ing.

My personal kernel build fills one niche but I understand that it's not for everyone. Some users do have extra cooling attached to their stick and with my build they have the option to use one with extra speeds unlocked and the lower (and basically useless) CPU/GPU frequencies disabled. Caveat emptor.

feedback of 2.0.3 on T428

this ROM gets better and better.
- RK Remote control can be installed now. Tried it and works.
- same performance for WI-FI which is better than stock or Finless
- smooth Video playback
- power menu now works
- the only problem so far but it might not be a problem and just my setup is that, HomeMediaCenter does not stay loaded all the time so that I can send pics from my phone to the TV. The fix for this is to restart to dongle.

now a FYI.
I still try to stream from my SAMBA share videos using Bsplayer or Mxplayer. sometimes the video drops and you need to restart the movie. It also buffers a lot because the sustained speed is too low. I get a far better experience if I use CifManager and mount my SMB share on a internal folder from SD card. The speed does not fluctuates that much and I was able to play a movies with the bitrate of 5100Kbps without buffering issue. Also the movie does not drop anymore. I was able to watch a 90min movie without any issues.

No reboots with this one since I updated my system this morning.

EDIT: 24 hours without a reboot now.

Hmmm. The device had rebooted itself during the night while doing nothing but idling. And this new build had absolutely no additional tweaks besides the "standard" CPU/DDR/GPU overclocks. I also had the CPU max speed limited to 1608MHz.

BTW: Am I really the only one who experiences the following issues:

• When I click the nav bar bottom-right to bring up the notifications menu, the placeholder for acknowledging all notifications in that menu contains just some bogus string data (like: %1$0,%1$1 etc.). Clicking it does not clear the notifications.
• Browser doesn't open YouTube videos in the YouTube app. Even after resetting all app associations, clicking a YouTube video doesn't produce a popup for selecting the playback app.

I think I'll be reverting back to v1.2.1 until these issues have been sorted out.

EDIT: I decided to give 2.0.3 another chance. After erasing IDB thrice and reflashing, YouTube started working. The item for acknowledging all notifications still contains garbage, though.

Hi, I've got an MK908 (v3 I think, only 1 pin-antenna). It keeps rebooting, and/or poor WIFI. Boot loop or boot after couple of minutes. So I'm hoping that this ROM wil help (tried many(. I'm waiting for the MK908 v3 ROM v 2.03 hoping it will help. Or which ROM will help me? jjhmod.v2.0.1 flashed and boots, but still keeps rebooting every couple of minutes :-(. I'm very dissapointed in my stick and thinking of a K-R42. Is this a good choise? Or has this box also many problem. I don't know what to do anymore... Help.

Try with 'RKAndroidTool' found in e.g. Finless ROM packages. I use that for flashing all my kernel images.

i dont have this isue.
probably i edited difrent systemUI.apk for t428
its take recompiling of this apk to fix it so you need to wait for next ver or if i will find free time i will recomile just a systemUI.apk for you.
