Unfortunately it seems the pinhole reset is no longer working so can't use either of those methods.

Does flashing via sd boot card require reset also?

Yes, the More Settings (traditional non-ATV Settings.apk) has never had screen resolution or position. Those are available only from TVSettings.apk. That should be true in the OEM firmware from the factory too.

      Thanks for the reply Magendanz.
I have solved my litlle "problem" of screen size with the parameters of my TV (I chose the "over-screen" param and the box image fit the sreen perfectly)
Your Rom work nicely and much better than the ugly mecool rom ^^

        Hi Magendanz,

I loaded up this image M8S_PRO-V0321_Stock-20170807.img on my M8S Pro (3Gb/32Gb) Variant.
Installed Ok, All my usual apps worked fine (Netflix, Spotify, Plex, VLC, etc)
Much cleaner that the MECool default image.

The only trouble I seem to be having is that the 5Ghz Wifi Radio seems to drop it's wifi conection every 10-15 mins. if I go back into the network setting and tell it to connect again it's fine for a while.
The 2.4Ghz Wifi Radio doesn't seem to have the same problem

I'll continue to test this and see if I can put any logic to when It drops etc....

If you diff the two system directories, you'll notice that I really don't touch the WiFi settings, so it should be exactly the same as the underlying OEM firmware.

Yes I thought it was a bit strange. I'll do some more test8mg tomorrow, will go back to the MECool Rom and verify that its no doing it on that image...

OK, So I took the M8S Pro back to the MECool NMF26Q_20170707.094 Image and the problem with the 5Ghz Wifi Radio dropping out went away.
I then went back to the MECool NMF26Q_20170524.163 Inage and the 5Ghz Wifi Radio started dropping out again.

From what I can see your Nexus Stock image is based on the NMF26Q_20170524.163, so they must have fixed a few things around the 5Ghz Radio in the latest release.

Happy to test again if you have time to update the nexus stock image...

An update based on the new OEM firmware is forthcoming, but I'm driving my youngest to college right now. We're returning after the total eclipse on the 21st, and I'll get right on it then (assuming the world has not ended).

I'm just having a play around with your Nano version of the Rom.

Hi Magendanz, first of all, thank you for these wonderful roms. but i've some problem tho. I've accidentally wipe all data using advance wipe twrp. When I reboot (by clicking the button bellow the box), and try to install the ota update(nano, stock, stocktv), some error produced like the attachment below. Im using m8s pro 2gb/16. When I try to install the img, there is no sufficient space error. Please show me how to fix this....thanks in advance

It seems you've not only wiped your data, but you wiped your system partition too. The OTA updater script first checks to see that it's being installed on the expected configuration, and to do that it reads the build.prop from the system partition. If that's not present, it understandably fails.

At this point, you've got to flash the Amlogic burn package, either using USB Burning Tool or an SD card using BootcardMaker.

Personally, I always use USB Burning Tool. Can anyone who uses Bootcardmaker help out here?

                      Please follow the instructions here:
                      http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...037#post664037

It's essential to follow the rules how to first make the bootable sd. card and than to insert sd card when box is powered off than to turn. it on while pushing the reset button . Also when the installation is done, quickly remove sd card after rebooting .

Hello, I wanted to say thank you for this rom. I have the 32GB version of the hardware and the Nano ROM seems to work okay for the most part.

I tried the TVStock ROM one but Netflix would not work. Also on the TVStock version I went to "about" in the system settings and it would just crash the system settings.

I installed the Nano ROM and netflix didn't show up in the app store, but works fine when I manually installed the APK I found online.

I have one problem that I'm wondering if someone might be able to help me with:
I can watch netflix for hours, or youtube or twitch, but it seems that once I start to open multiple applications, my device "locks up". I can still move my mouse around. Sometimes applications continue to function (for example discord chat still displays new messages), but I'm unable to click or type things. In most cases I can still click on the top to bring down the system panel, but I can't click on the settings gear. To be clear I click on it, and the button lights up, so I know my input device is working, but the button doesn't actually function. sometimes when this happens I can click the home button and it works, sometimes not. I cant run any other applications from my home screen. To fix this, I not only have to cycle the power, but I have to leave it unplugged for 10 seconds or so, otherwise I only get a black screen or it sticks on the nexus logo.

My best guess is that something is wrong with my RAM or something is wrong with the ROM. I've come to this conclusion because it only happens when I multitask. If I start up the box and go to many different apps, it happens quickly. If I start the box and only start Netflix, then it runs for hours and hours just fine, and I can open another app after. This leads me to believe that it's not CPU temp.

Is there maybe a benchmark app someone could recommend to help me isolate my hardware from the equation? Is there something I can do to provide more details?
