Yes, that would be the one to try if you want to look ahead to the all-in-one ROM. Otherwise, I posted the last latest based on the M8S Pro ROM yesterday and you can find links for that in the OP.

Yesterday i burned successfully the nano rom. It works great and i need to thank you for great job.
    1. Until now the wifi was stable although i didn't check the ethernet connection.
2.The bluetooth connection was alright. I connected my bluetooth mouse easily although i think that is losing some speed when i work in an application. In the home screen i consider its faster.
3.The other issue i noticed is the problem with 1080 video. I tried several times to watch from showbox a movie in 1080 resolution but it was all pixel. The video settings were set to highest resolution. Today i will try to play a 1080 movie in mx player from usb and i will inform you.
    4. Also when i pressed harder the onoff button from remote control and i set the box to shut down and not in sleep mode then the box didn't booted normally. I had to reboot from TWRP and the second time i tested i couldn't reboot at all and i left all night and today was ok. Also i think that it takes long time when you reset to enter in TWRP.
I don't know if i did something wrong and i am writing all these not as a complaint but just for information.
Thanks again for your help. The rom is

New update today, based on the latest OEM build.

      Changelog (20170825):
      • Updated to latest M8S Pro OEM firmware (20170801.150811.V0321)
      • Underlying OEM firmware is now pre-rooted, and so ours is too
      • Latest build from Open GApps (20170825)

      IMPORTANT NOTE:

This will likely be the last Nexus custom ROM update based on the Mecool M8S Pro OEM firmware. There's a new generic ROM from the factory that we'll be using to target all devices based on Amlogic q201 reference board.

      Here are the advantages:
      • Newer Android Nougat 7.1.2 (NHG47L build)
      • Works with a long list of wireless chipsets, based on both the Qualcomm (Longsys) and Broadcom (AMPAK) driver architectures. To my knowledge, this is the first ROM that works on both.
      • Supports several IR remotes (including OEM from Beelink and Mecool...even when pressing the Power button to cold boot).
      • IR remove codes are NOT stored in the device tree, so they're once again easily customizable in the remote.conf.
      • An excellent selection of video and audio settings at top level, including overscan, HDR, CEC, Dolby, and DTS.
      • Configurable power button, plus press-and-hold pop-up menu with Power Off and Shutdown.

This is really the "One ROM to rule them all!"...which is why we've been calling it "Precious".

      The disadvantage:
      • There's a bug with Bluetooth audio playback, which makes speakers and headsets basically unusable, but I've been assured that this is already fixed in the next release.

You can download this new ROM in Nano, Stock and TVStock (Android TV) variants now, if you'd like to try them out.
I have a question about the Ampak Drivers the firmware seems to have support for the AP6330 Ampak driver but the Drivers them selfs are missing do you know if there is a reason for that?

There is one other Firmware out there are has support for the Lot of wifi Drives the Newest Tanix TX8 7.1.2 is the same way there seems to be support bit the Drivers are missing.

      Thanks for any info

Yes, as I mentioned in my IMPORTANT NOTE on the previous page, this should be the last release of this custom ROM for the M8S Pro. Instead, I'll be switching over to the new Shiningworth factory ROM, which was first released for the Tanix TX8 Max (http://www.tanix-box.com/downloads/). It will allow us to support many more permutations of wireless chipsets, IR remotes and DRAM configurations...all in one ROM.

Looks like you've got a corrupted bootloader. You could trying resetting by shorting pins on the eMMC to enter Mask ROM mode, but if you're still under warranty I would simply return it instead. A bootloader spontaneously getting corrupted is likely a serious hardware issue, and resetting it may only fix it temporarily.

I cannot send it back because i agreed with gearbest to buy two beelink gt1 ultimate for 40 euro each to replace the the two mecool m8s pro. The post wants from Greece to china 80 euro for the package. Nevertheless as i told you i have another one mecool m8s pro in the box. After i destroyed the first with my mistakes can you tell me the right way to set the new one?

If it was working fine and you spontaneously had the bootloader get corrupted, then it wasn't your fault. Now, if you flashed the bootloader with something that you shouldn't have, that's another matter entirely.

It started normally with the Google settings on the blue screen but i didn't continue to start over from the beggining because i had a back up. So i reset to twrp and i loaded my back up i had with my apks and settings and it freezed again now...

With Stock and Nano variants you can restore from a backup in the cloud in the Setup Wizard. I find that much more reliable than the TWRP backup, which can end up with a mix and match of different versions of APKs and settings.

          Maybe a hammer would help...

I would just restore the userdata partition, then clean up any apps in /data/app that are now on the ROM (/system/app). If things still are flaky, you may need to do a data wipe and set up all your apps again from the Play Store.

It should. Check with Darrenb, who I believe is trying it out.

I managed to wake it up. I did a swipe from the recovery and for the last two days works fine. I would like to test the stock rom but i am afraid...

Is it possible to flash the device using a USB stick? I don't have a male-to-male USB cable to hand or a microSD.

Yes, you can use the Amlogic USB BurningBootcardMaker Tool. Have a look at post #1 of this forum for the link to download....
