Isn't the stock rom rooted by default?

yeah but the superSU zip removes it from what i can see after factory reset

I just did the factory reset, still the same Netflix problem, checked root with the Root checker app, says no root access..
I guess i wont get it working on this box

Ive not seen many people have much luck with the tv version without widevine L1, but someone on here did say they had it working so not sure. its a long shot but maybe try changing your langue to English US or English GB as that is the only possible difference between you and the person that has it working a few pages back

there is an alternative thats actually better and free.. <--that's also debatable :/ so pm me if you want and I can point you in the right direction

Had a phone call for about an hour with Netflix Technical support, they couldn't find a solution either..

try the builds pre march 2017 as that's when they upped security with root and stuff

Try a pre march 2017 version as that's when they started blocking root / unlocked bootloaders and stuff, give the December 2016 apk a try

Sorry... It's for new script without factory reset...I made Netflix work only download last apk from apkmirror and install it.

Hi....ok. I probe the versions and I confirm that the unique that work are 5.3.0 download from apkmirror. The android TV version get error 803 connect. I supposed is for the DRM and not verified tvbox!!!!!!

You need to make sure the files you downloaded are in the root of internal storage (not in a folder) which is /sdcard
