in terminal do

su

cat /proc/bus/input/devices

look for "xbox 360 wireless receiver (Xbox)" tell me the values above that for Vendor= and Product=


also install this apk open it and press each dpad button and tell me the scanCode= value foe each direction.

with all the above information i would be to make a keylayout for your variant

Yeah, the rom has no keylayout for this variant. so it uses generic.kl that's why its a bit messed up.

i will add support for it in next update

extract this Vendor_045e_Product_0719.zip (cant upload .kl) add "Vendor_045e_Product_0719.kl" to system/usr/keylayout/

set permissions for it and reboot, unplug and reconnect receiver

Actually I already included this keylayout just checked the rom .zip, think i know whats wrong

How do I copy it to the system folder? I tried using the terminal with su using command:

cp Vendor_045e_Product_0719.kl /system/usr/keylayout

And it says: Read-only file system

How do I get around that to copy it in there?

Nevermind... I found an app in the store with root access that was able to do it.

Controller works perfect with that layout.

What stock firmware are you using? shutdown prompt should not be showing with left dpad
if you mean wifi AP its not supported in android TV as its part of phone/tablet settings.apk

should be working if your using stock 7.1.2 from beelink, double check your using the latest script and not the old one. or just flash the zip in recovery

Guys anyone managed to successfully pair/connect a bluetooth gamepad with this rom?

I just got one, RK-Game 4th Gen game controller, and my box doesn't even see/discover it!

It did however see and pair a bluetooth headset!

I am on latest V4, flashed via recovery.

I think shutdown prompt appears after the TV-box wakes up from the sleep mode with the standard remote

As got this one recently I didn't try it on stock, it did pair with my phone LG G4 after few attempts.
Installed Bluetooth pair app but still no luck.
As I mentioned my GT1 box did pair with a couple of things but for some reason can't discover this controller

Any tips,things to try?

I have noticed some things are not recognised with the tv pairing. for example my light bulbs are not recognised unless using the "more settings" bluetooth option which is part of settings.apk but that currently wont work with atv. I have been meaning to port over the version from lineagOS that has action bar changes to work with atv but not had time recently

Thanks mate ... good to know there is something to try ..... I had also a couple of things that weren't recognisable either.
Look forward to changes when you eventually get the time
