Try changing the colour space settings to 420 8bit or RGB in display settings in Android.

This ROM has colour space settings unlike beelink based rom it might be that all I can think of. If I get time I will test with those apps on weekend

Do you have the kodi build.prop fix enabled in your firmware? Remarking it out or enabling it may correct your issues.

I am running a modded kernel, and have found that I cannot use advanced features like I can with stock. Once I enable all the developer debug tweaks in my build.prop, playback is not so crisp.

I am now playing around with stockish build.prop, light on the mods. Added Google dns, and basic known and required build.prop edits for fixes with playback.

I find unless you have a true 4K TV, keep your settings to 444 8bit, and YUV. If your set to 422 color space, your opening a can of worms, as content should be 444. You may be forcing the box to convert from 444 to 442, and having the TV convert back to 444 internally, depending on its capabilities and settings.

Yeah I posted about this a few pages back, it's got progressively worse each update for some reason and I've not had time to have a look at logs..

I think s912 is dead on amlogics side, no 8.0 update.

It's certified ATV by Google so has Chromecast and L1 and an WiFi antenna.. but uses the weaker 905X

ha! Yep and I only have L3 drm.

If anyone is interested, you may notice YouTube, Netflix and Google Play services all have updated within a week. I put the blame on Google play services, as just about every update punks my systems. Sometimes it effects my tablet and of recent it has made my streaming apps puke. Nat Geo, FX Now, YouTube, Xfinity Stream, and a few others needed data cleared or just reinstalled. I did not want to bother installing the latest beta of play services, as homie don't play beta.

Would revert to previous play services but have resolved all my issues.


ALSO NOTED... since play services update, some build prop tweaks break some streaming apps from play back. RTE for example, will JS error or fail to connect. I am thinking Google is locking down on root detection, namely Xposed on 6.0 on up android.

known bug, tillaz says it's youtube problem.. keep using youtube app that tillaz provided (uninstall updates and disable auto update in google play)

I'm looking at picking up the MECOOL KM8
its Google Certified Android TV and has a WiFi antenna..
8.0 but is the 905X.. s912 appears dead on amlogics side

I'm grabbing one just to be nosy but I would say it's the best option for Android TV for price right now.

However I have been told to expect something from Google in October so..

About YouTube, Google have changed something.. I've not had a chance to look at logs so no idea what exactly. Not sure if I will get around to it either as this box was passed on.

If someone posts logcat of the crash I will have a look though.
