My box now with heat sink and fan underneath runs 42°C at idle, which i think is an excellent temperature.

Can it be you are confused, because if i look at the graphs P.X has posted, the lowest temperature from all mods is 58°C
    Hi,

My Graph temps are all at MAX Load using StressCPU.

Expect lower temps with YouTube etc.

Exactly, here where I live even with a higher temperature than in Europe, I can keep the temperature below 50°c by watching YouTube.

I do not know if this older version of YouTube helps keep the temperature good. In any case without the fan would not be able to maintain that temperature.

          Hi,

Can you detail what 3.3V source you used ?
          Pics if possible.
Is it a switched supply ?

Nice work by the way, shame that Fan/HS is so expensive from AliXpress, and the US **** seller doesn't ship to UK (would be expensive if they did anyway !!!)

Just checked UK distributor for the ADDA Fan/HS and minimum order is £50 +£12 post +VAT (eeeeek) ~ £74.40
            They stock the 35mm AP3505HB-J70 - H version (High CFM/Speed/Noise)
USA is the 35mm L version (though apparently still needs to slowed down !!

40mm M version also available in UK (H version in USA !?!)

So you are using a fan inside your box, I didn't notice that earlier from your pic, thought you only had a oversized heat sink.

That explains something, yet it is still good temperature.

Is that tested after using Youtube for at least 1 hour

That's a lot of money, if you add to that the price of the box, for the total you can buy a box that doesn't need mods for overheating.

I would probably be able to get 5 fan/HS units for that, but still too much.

Standing the M8S Pro L on it's side is free and works for most usage (with not too hot ambient as well) ...

Yes, that's why I was interested in posting minu fun / heatsink before, because my goal is to close the box. But the cost is high, at least of a model I've seen before. On the temperature of YouTube nai increases if you are using the fan above the heatsink

                      Hi,

Found your mini blower fan/HS in AliXpress

                      $5.92 Freepost (UK)

May be good to make a guide conduit to the side for venting hot air ...

Good idea, I had thought of that too. I still have not bought it, the freight is very expensive.

AliXpress shows free shipping to everywhere I put in - Brazil, Samoa, Botwana
Just have to wait a bit for delivery ....

                                Thanks for the heads-up.
I soldered mine on the USB pins. Full-on 5v. I don't mind the noise. I have a sound bar. I can't hear it unless there is some complete silence.
I used epoxy. lol Slow set one that melts only when metal turns orange.
