Guest I honestly would like to buy the KM3 instead, however, it may be possible to get the firmware if we all get in contact with Videostrong to request a copy, I already sent an email making a request, you could too, please send them a message at [email protected] the more the merrier, perhaps they realize we are in need of a new firmware update to fix our devices.

Last time I get reply only from this mail: [email protected]
Maybe you can try this as well.

Had to reboot by pulling the power cord. Since I told it to wipe the media and setting, it booted to the first install screen with the Bluetooth pairing screen.

Installed fine.
Used a micro-sd card formatted as fat32.
NTFS seems to be fixed now, finally.
Basically still has all the same problems as the Oreo firmware.
Apps still run upside down
Kodi is a disaster.
Interlaced videos, VC1 can't play.
Youtube playback looked worse than on RK3328 devices, lots of banding, color dull, text interlaced, noise reduction too high etc.
No recent apps menu

Mo123, you are an absolute genius. I was doing it wrong. I copied those three file to the root of the microSD card, inserted the card into my box. Went to the update app and installed it....... perfect, now I will be testing it. Also, it IS the ATV version of Android........ thanks.
Edit: This version has a locked boot loader. No dual booting into Linux or LibreELEC..............Last edited by clarkss12; 10 May 2019, 00:55.MK818B, T428, ATV 1220, CS918S, TV01, S89H, R89, ADT-1, MK808B Plus, MINIX X8-H Plus, Tronsmart Orion R68

What about the DRM Info? Does it keep the Google Widevine L1 and Microsoft Playready modules?

Thanks MiXAL for the update files and mo123 for the reports.
I used a USB drive for it and now my KM8 is updated to Android TV 9 (Pie) with 2019 February security patch. The system version itself is dated from 2019-March-15.
The NTFS support makes it worth for me, even that I had to give up the unlocked bootloader and the possibility to run CoreELEC/LibreELEC, as I had no plans to make use of it in the near feature.
It's placed in my son's bedroom but now I may exchange it with the Mi Box placed in the living room whenever I like.
For Netflix I have a Fire TV Stick that I can move together with it.
My HDD is connected to the router but I like to be able to plug it directly to the box if I need to.
