Anyone KM8 users facing issues with netflix ?

Magisk releases new version v18.0. I have also flashed new patched boot.img and still getting bootloop. I am starting doubt if we can get any benefits even we do have a working build for twrp.

Unfortunately, as of today it's not working anymore.

It gives tvq-pb-103(2.10.0) error.

Yes, but for Android only.

Netfix 720p works OK on CoreElec Kodi_Leia_final version. Just enough reason to save the box from recycling

Btw, did anybody succeed to root this box with MagiskManager? Did anybody find any version of TWRP that works on this box?
Android 8.0 on this box is pretty useless...

I wasn't able to get TWRP running for more than a few seconds. It was like it had some kind of keep-alive timer in the kernel.

HERE is the OTA Firmware that can be installed. It is the only (messed up) version I know of, same Oreo 8.0 as my box came with.

The reason I kept the box is that Kodi Leia (still beta versions) on CoreElec (running from SD card) works perfect on it.

Attention everyone:

I'm new to this forum, I had to create an account because something weird happened to me today with my Mecool KM8 device:

I noticed there was a new firmware update, I decided to install it, but when the update was in progress I noticed the word "test" between the name of the update and I didn't want to cancel it to avoid bricking my device, the problem is, it was bricked, somehow that was a testing firmware and I supposed it wasn't meant to be installed by users, the firmware seems to be Android Pie because it had the 9.0 numbering, anyway, can you or anybody tell me how can I install the original firmware that was in my device?

By the way, if everyone of you go to settings and check for any update and you see this update I'm talking about, DON'T INSTALL IT!, it will brick your devices like it did with mine.

I'm going to let someone else handle this that has more km8 experience help you.
But, many ROMs both OEM and Custom have the phrase "test keys" in the file name. Post a link to the actual ROM that you loaded. In the meantime I guess you have entered recovery and attempted a factory wipe? And all this box has is a stock recovery program? You have no TWRP, or other alternative 3rd party recovery?
In any case, NEVER wipe the system partition.

I don't have any links, it was an OTA update so I hit download and then install, nothing else, indeed the box goes to recovery everytime I turn it on but I haven't wiped anything because I don't know what to do to fix it.

Re-download the file, if in fact it is meant for your specific box, sometimes they can be corrupt.

Load into 1st level hierarchy of both a sd card AND a usb thumb drive.
Put both in the box, with power cord out. Then depress the reset button while plugging in the power cord... Hold reset button depressed for approx 10 seconds. You should enter recover at this time
Select the file on either of the memory devices and let it run..
Doesn't work? Use the other one you've loaded

Do a factory wipe first that should put you back to original state of condition.

DoNot use the mentioned rom UNLESS you are sure that it is for your specific box

I just checked my mecool KM8, but there is no update. It is running build version dated June 27th 2018. It says that is the latest version

Maybe they are rolling it out in stages to avoid issues like I'm facing right now, I'm so unlucky!.
