I have never encountered this. Either someone else who has installed the same rom could help you, or you could try flashing same rom again and flash zip again. Or if no one helps in 2 days, then I will flash this rom and see what is the issue. You can also try to flash supersu zip and see if it flashes fine, you must make sure you are able to flash stock rom first so that you can revert back. Or make a backup first.

https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=933263 this is the thread where all our roms are located. The ones mentioned in first post work almost fine. As you scroll the thread you find other ports too some of which come with their problems, like wifi or bt or play store not working.
My favorite rom till date has been People's firmware created by Sasvlad https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showuser=71863 the rom was ported to our device by sergej_a_g https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showuser=566658

Direct link to the rom: https://4pda.ru/pages/go/?u=https%3A...qGg&e=81839450
/snip
1. People's firmware
2. HK1 Pro
3. X96 v311
But all of them are pretty good.
Two issues I have with all firmwares are that 60fps videos in the mobile youtube app (playstore version) stutter the odd time for me. And the other issue is that youtube for android TV plays 60fps videos stutter free, but using any version newer than 2.00.19 keeps saying "Unfortunately youtube has closed".

Hi All, My dad has the H96 Pro from last year - My FIL has just bought the H96 MAX 4/32.
No matter what APK i put on the device to stream movies it just crashes - white screen and then goes back to the main menu of the device.
My dads works perfectly.
ALWAYS the way - I've been banging on about this box and for some reason he has just opened it out the box and cannot get any APK's to work.
Can anyone help please?

I just got this box recently in 2/16 GB version. What is the best firmware for it? I see most of the people like HK1 Pro here, while people on Russian 4pda forum like X96Max port.
Is HK1 suitable also for 2 GB RAM variants? What is better there than in stock ROM - is it worth upgrading? Does it have OTA updates?
