T-R42 Testing again

Hello Wasser,

I tested again ...

1) I press Power Button ONLY once ... Then Led Changes to Oranges and 10-15 seconds
unit turns off and Will not turn back on unless I press button on Box.

2) So... I Press and Hold Power Button until Menu pops Up and I select Sleep (same thing Happens).
Then Led Changes to Oranges and 10-15 seconds
unit turns off and Will not turn back on unless I press button on Box.

3) I press power button turns orange and I press Power button quickly to turn back on, but NO effect ...
same thing Happens.
Then Led Changes to Oranges and 10-15 seconds
unit turns off and Will not turn back on unless I press button on Box.

Is there any thing else I can Try ?

I tested this with Wifi only and (no Ethernet and not Blue-tooth) :

Unit works for 7 Sleep on/off then fails
Light turn Orange and the Unit Turns off and NO led on Button 10-15 seconds after light turns Orange.

More Testing:

This time I unplug All USB devices NO USB at all ....

1) Test With Ethernet (NO Wifi , NO Bluetooth)

More NEW Test results ..

So I try to connect with ADB but unit is not active ... I check router .. and Wifi is off Line.

I stop start adb server on PC and Send connect 3 times ... this Time Player Wifi Wakes up
but Still NO output Monitor and Button is still orange. But I am Able to Get dmesg results from Player ..
I also try to turn unit on with power button On Unit does NOT wake up , I try Remote unit does
NOT wake up but still orange ... I go back to PC I check and still Have Wifi connection ...

I have attached the dmesg.txt results ...

I'll try to remember...
I flashed 1.2+remote fix, not 1.2.1 because of issues michael2t has.
After flash it couldn't find Nand flash memory, mounted it in cwm and "reformatted" ->ok (like already explained in this thread). After a few reboots it could't find my usb drive anymore (message that it's empty). Also mounting in cwm and everything ok again.
Furthermore in the beginning difficult to startup (blue light on and then off), after removing power cable a few times it started allright. Also spontanious reboot. And spontanious reboot in cwm while whiping cache.
Then I did a factory reset, whipe cache, whipe dalvik cache, fix permissions.
From there on everything's ok till now, except for Nand flash, I had to do the trick mount trick again.
Sleep mode doesn't work like it should (sleep on and off with remote).

I tried to mount a nfs and a cifs share below through Terminal. The cifs is mounted successfully. The nfs is NOT mounted successfully. After the nfs command executed I went to the /sdcard/NFS/Music directory using ES File Explorer and noticed a circle keep spinning forever and never list any contents. The cifs command is executed fast and listed contents fast too. Any ideas why NFS mount not working?

busybox mount -t nfs -o rw,intr,hard,nolock 192.168.1.4:/volume1/music /sdcard/NFS/Music

busybox mount -t cifs -o user="xxxxx",password="xxxxx" //192.168.1.4/music /sdcard/CIFS/Music

BTW, I also have issues running just the cifs script on start up through init.d. I put the script there but it never run.

I also have a Minix Neo X7 box running Finless 1.6 ROM and running the same NFS mount command through Terminal give me a No Such Device message returned. Not sure if NFS module is loaded with Finless 1.6 ROM Kernel.

For Some reason My Mounts are not allows working when I put them In the init.d
folder.

You can download a simple terminal Program from the play store ... to test with ...

That is how I check all of my code ... Once I get some of the other issues fixed I had planned
on re-visiting the Problem.

The Best Way to Test Your mounts is to run the code by hand in term.apk and see if they work ...
As All of mine always work in term mode just not in the init.d scripts ..

By the Way I only use CIFS ... never use nfs

Your NFS mount does not look correct ...

Do You really have a share named volume1??

Your Line ...

> Maybe You do NOT have Read/write try a ro ... instead of a rw....

It can never hurt to try in terminal mode ..

thanks for your great feedback, however the dmesg doesn't contain any usefull debug infos. I think there's something wrong with resume/suspend in hdmi codes. It takes time to find out where the problem comes from.

I will let you know when i have new kernel for you to test!

It is configured correctly. I was able to mount all my NFS shares through a Windows Client and also through XBMC Apps running on the T-R42 box.
