k-r42 is the non-Bluetooth version of the box.
the version with Bluetooth is called t-r42.

Can RK3188 platform fully replace my HTPC?

Hello everybody esp. wasser,
I borrowed before few weeks one K-R42 device. Speed was ok, but i had problems with few things. Because the device was borrowed, I used it only with stock rom.

Few annoying restriction with the device was:
- XBMC don't switch to 1080/24Hz HDMI output (when 24p movie context played)
- XBMC 5.1 AC3/DTS HDMI or SPDIF pass-through don't worked with my ONKYO receiver
(only stereo, receiver was sometimes confused)
- XBMC didn't play my camcorder videos AVCHD 1080i (Panasonic HC-SD60).
(MX-player or BS-player with artefacts)

Please are those problems on RK3188 platform with wasser-firmware solved (esp. 24Hz and pass-through)?

firmware-wasser-1.2.4 is uploaded. It should support all known K-R42 boards, Please select the correct kernel included in zip file by flashing.

Thanks wasser for updates. I just installe the newest version. But I do not understand what shoul i do with these kernels?? Which one should I use and how??? I will give you my feedback soon.

There is still the cpu limited to 1.4Ghz on new revision ?

ok I'll try.

Why cant I mount system.img with ImDisk virtual disk in windows ? It says that the volume is not formated. Wasser do you use specific system file ?

It works with HFW system.img.

I'd like to add my remote keyboard layout...

this new version works pretty well.

But:
+ cpu still limited to 1.4Ghz on new rev board
+ where is the auto hide system bar feature ? disappeared !
+ cant install speedtest.net market says device is not compatible.

+ video playback is not totally smouth on heavy 1080p movies
