I always get random crashes from every rom including the official minix roms. The only rom that is 100 % stable is the nexus rom for me. Is there a reason for this? I always erase NAND before installing a new rom so that's not the issue. Is minix inconsistent with their hardware?

But I think, it makes no sense to turn off essential Android standard features to get a ROM to work.
I'll wait and stay with the Nexus ROM for now.

I have tried all the included kernels and also three different cables... I still have the issue I have been mentioning since the rom release. I have also started clean with nand erase thrice, but it didn't help either.
Every few mins, tv acts like it had lost the connection with minix and reconnected again... This happens repeatedly irrespective of the hdmi mode, kernels or video setting.. Now I'm not sure what to do for fixing this issue but I don't see anyone reporting it here? Really strange that I'm the only one facing this weird problem... Can someone please help me find a fix?
I really like this rom and don't feel like going back to anything else at the moment

Besides that I don't have anything out of the ordinary in my settings. Audio output in XBMC settings is set to HDMI/5.1 and the Android sound setting option is at "RK29_RT5616_PASSTHROUGH".
Make me wonder how you got an option that is unkown on my device. Is this related to libmedia.so?

I only wonder what is causing the hdmi to reconnect on 60, any devs knows the influence of this?

I can't yet say about XBMC as I have to copy a patched libmedia.so file but stock rom is not rooted. So, I am trying to get there.
Bob, Could you look into this please. I think DD/DTS passthrough in HDMI is important to a lot of people who use DD/DTS receivers. Thanks in advance.

Molle is using the stock firmware or the rooted stock firmware where you see the RK29_RT5616 Passthrough option as the last option. If you load any of Finless 1.7 roms, that option is gone and instead, as you wrote, the RK29_RT5616_5point1Multichannel appears as the last option. Logically, that should be the same(a little more descriptive) but doesn't work as intended. I tried many times. Even the stock video players(there are three of them) don't work in pass through mode. It seems to be decoding internally and sending LPCM as my onkyo shows pcm. Then I reflashed with stock 007 rom and DD/DTS works fine with stock player.
