    crash

I always get random crashes from every rom including the official minix roms. The only rom that is 100 % stable is the nexus rom for me. Is there a reason for this? I always erase NAND before installing a new rom so that's not the issue. Is minix inconsistent with their hardware?

Try turning off notifications in taskbar and auto update apps in playstore.

            Same for me.
But I think, it makes no sense to turn off essential Android standard features to get a ROM to work.

I'll wait and stay with the Nexus ROM for now.

                init.d does not work

i put in a script that gives always the right permissions to system/app system/framework and init.d

also i put a zipalign script with the right files in system/bin ,does also not work

are you sure you changed also the ramdisk to support the init.d
You could use a universal initd enabler from the Play Store.

I have tried all the included kernels and also three different cables... I still have the issue I have been mentioning since the rom release. I have also started clean with nand erase thrice, but it didn't help either.

Every few mins, tv acts like it had lost the connection with minix and reconnected again... This happens repeatedly irrespective of the hdmi mode, kernels or video setting.. Now I'm not sure what to do for fixing this issue but I don't see anyone reporting it here? Really strange that I'm the only one facing this weird problem... Can someone please help me find a fix?
I really like this rom and don't feel like going back to anything else at the moment

Your symptoms look more like a hdmi issue than a minix issue. Did you try a different cable/different hdmi input etc. Worth a shot.

                      Code:
                          <libMediaPassThroughHack>true</libMediaPassThroughHack>
                      </advancedsettings>
Not sure if it's still needed with the latest libmedia-enabled XBMCs, but it won't hurt.

Besides that I don't have anything out of the ordinary in my settings. Audio output in XBMC settings is set to HDMI/5.1 and the Android sound setting option is at "RK29_RT5616_PASSTHROUGH".
I have checked and I do have this setting listed however what I find strange is that you have an android sound setting that is not visible for me namely the PASSTHROUGH option. I only have the SPDIF option with passthrough and a RK29_RT5616_5.1Multichannel which I have no idea what that could be.

Make me wonder how you got an option that is unkown on my device. Is this related to libmedia.so?

Have you tried settings the hdmi settings to 1080p30 instead of 1080p60, this solved my issue.
I only wonder what is causing the hdmi to reconnect on 60, any devs knows the influence of this?

I have been struggling with the same issue. I spent hours and have some ideas what is happening. This is my theory. Molle is using the stock firmware or the rooted stock firmware where you see the RK29_RT5616 Passthrough option as the last option. If you load any of Finless 1.7 roms, that option is gone and instead, as you wrote, the RK29_RT5616_5point1Multichannel appears as the last option. Logically, that should be the same(a little more descriptive) but doesn't work as intended. I tried many times. Even the stock video players(there are three of them) don't work in pass through mode. It seems to be decoding internally and sending LPCM as my onkyo shows pcm. Then I reflashed with stock 007 rom and DD/DTS works fine with stock player.
I can't yet say about XBMC as I have to copy a patched libmedia.so file but stock rom is not rooted. So, I am trying to get there.
Bob, Could you look into this please. I think DD/DTS passthrough in HDMI is important to a lot of people who use DD/DTS receivers. Thanks in advance.

I thought he was using the finless rom, so he should be more or less similar as what I have yet there is a difference.

Originally I thought so too. However, he cannot see that RK29_RT5616 Passthrough option if it was Finless Rom(unless it is a special combination I haven't tried--I only tried the 1080p versions.)

In the settings >screen hdmi mode I only see 1080p60,50 and 24 none of this solve this problem... How did you set it to 1080p30?
