What rom works best with this board ?

I have the same board as yours. You could flash Wasser Firmware for T-R42 Version 1.2.5. It works flawlessly in all aspects.

Yes it is for new revision, you could opt either 1080p or 720p kernel when flashing the rom, both also work great.

You can't change it in the Settings. Should you decide to change back to 720p after flashing 1080p, you need to flash ONLY the 720p Kernel in Finless Flash Tool ( only tick the kernel and point it to the 720p Kernel.img and then flash)
