First off I would identify which box you receive. Most people open the box and see whats printed on circuit board ex (B351_v2.0) is one version of hardware.

If I were you I wold install XBMC first and play with the unit. This will give you a reference mark. If your not satisfied you can try to flash unit (comes with a risk). I have the B351_V2.0 board and the unit works better with 1.25 firmware.

    I flashed 1080pnew
    1080pboot
    1.25 system firmware

thank you, just to be sure I understood
Ill test XBMC first see if its working well with my needs
if not I need wasser's new firmware (suppose I have the v2.0 chip)

      So first,
I open RKAndroidTool.exe and I see like 8 items but 7 are checked (whenever I clear the items the loader stays)
thats where i get to be confused
-I'm not sure from here how I will flash/install the kernel 1080 new img
      then after that
-how I will I load the 1080 boot provided
-how to load just the system 1.25 firmware

sorry if im being clueless, usually I can get by with minimal instructions

EDIT: I think I might understand I opened the RKAndroidTool.exe and modified the name of the kernel to the new 1080 img and the boot.img to the boot 1080.img one

it suppose to look like this? then just i click run

I woud leave all the boxes checked. On the right side of the tool on each line is a box. Click in the box and then browse to where you extracted files. You can also rename your files and place them in folder that program is pointing at.

Just FYI that version 1.2.5 has issue and wasser is going to fix it possible this weekend. Back to flashing, for the first time flash, leave everything checked, except for "backup", then one by one browse to the correct file that you unzipped and select them. For example, If you see kernel.IMG, you should browse to 1080newkernel.img (assume that you want the 1080 kernel of version 2 or newer board, note that kernelold is only for version 1 board).

When you receive your unit, do a speedtest over wifi. I had big problems with download speed and I'm curious if you will have to.

Can I use PS3 Bluetooth controler to play games on T-R42 with Wasser 1.2.5 FW?

my motherboard is B351 v1.1 (on back sticker - EKB311 - clone T-R42). im currently using firmware 1.2.5 and it works great! autohide is an awesome function, it works really really good with Beyond XBMC 3.3 posted in other thread. But to install this fw i had to download 1.2.4 version with all files for RKAndroidTool and then download 1.2.5 and change system and kernel(1080p) files in Image folder. anyway, everything works, very good job this is first custom firrmware that i tested where everything actually works (wifi, remote controller, 1080p etc)

                                Hi korcjan!
Could you answer me two questions?
Does your Recovery work, and if so what did you do with Version 1.2.4 before you flashed Version 1.2.5, as you mentioned?
                                Regards makku
