When i try to load firmware in rkbatchtool i have a error massage : LOAD FIRMWARE FAILED

You can't use batchtool to flash, you need the individual IMG tool to flash. You need to down load the 1.2.5 and the system-old image. You only need to pick the 1080kernel, boot 1080 from the 1.2.5 package and the systen image from the system-old image package.

Firmware 1.2.5 for T-R42 v1.X.

Just for information for all that want to install firmware 1.2.5 for T-R42 v1.x that is the correct sequence:

- download http://www.freak-tab.de/wasser/firmw...sser-1.2.5.zip

- download http://www.freak-tab.de/wasser/system-t-r42-old_rev.zip

- download http://www.freak-tab.de/wasser/kerne..._old-1.2.5.zip

- Unpack first file from link and in folder firmware-wasser-1.2.5\rockdev\Image\ rename file boot-720p.img or boot-1080p.img witch verision you want and delete file system.img.

- From unpack second file from link and rename system-t-r42-old_rev.img to system.img and put to folder firmware-wasser-1.2.5\rockdev\Image\.

- Unpack from third file from link and rename kernel-720p-t-r42-old.img or kernel-1080p-t-r42-old.img witch version you want to kernel.img and put to folder firmware-wasser-1.2.5\rockdev\Image\.

- Run when you have connect T-R42 to PC in \firmware-wasser-1.2.5\RKDevelopTool_v1.37\ file RKAndroidTool.exe - for first EraseIDB and in next step RUN. If everyfings go well you have new firmware on your T-R42.

Sorry if my English is not good - I use them less often then i want.

can you open the terminal and type:
cat /sys/class/rkwifi/chip
and post the result?
and which kernel and firmware have you installed?
please help me , i flashed a rom and now my wifi is not working...i am no more able to find
a rom that can reactivate wifi on my device...

Im using latest wasser's 1.25 firmware for old revisions.
Maybe your wifi hardware is dead, you said you had power adapter failure so maybe it killed wifi.
I compared your board and mine from pictures, and they are the same, same markings, same ram chips, toshiba nand chip, ap6210, etc...

i installed the firmware 1.2.5 on my t-r42 and the OC kernel => kernel-t_r42_cpu1704_ddr720_1080p_gpu600h

But with this kernel, the ethernet doesn't work (i rebooted 3 times)

With the kernel => kernel-1080p-t-r42-new it's OK

Can you help me ???

Anyone tested the OC kernel ?
The lan and wifi work with this ?

Wasser 1.2.5 with Recovery.img from 1.2.4

Did anybody try the titled configuration ?
I just set up my T-R42 with Wassers Firmware 1.2.5.
As discussed before the boot into recovery soft-bricks the device.
I wonder if I could flash over the recovery.img of 1.2.4 ?

Anybody having experience with this ?

My T-r42 is B351 V1.1，use 1.2.5 firmware OK. Use SPDIF passthrought Dobly Dight is very good. But DTS can't pass passthrouhg and no sound. 1.2.4 firmware SPDIF passthrought ,DD ans DTS has big noise.
Only 1.2.3 is perfect SPDIF passthrought DD and DTS .
Please Help me in 1.2.5 firmware can perfect SPDIF passthrought DD and DTS, Thanks!

Just tried with the 1.2.4 recovery.img file with the rest being 1.2.5... negative. Same results. Won't boot to recovery mode, or reboot to recovery using the reboot app.

my cs918 verison: RK3188-t 1.6ghz , b351 BT (wifi chip 8723)
now im using wasser version 1.2.5, everything is fine except dark/black screen problem~

i can't use 720p even 50z or 60z, many sparkle in the screen and dark/black screen for 1 second repeatly. youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SI-5...ature=youtu.be
So i get better result at 1080p, but the dark/black screen for 1 second occasionally, can i fix it?
is there any solution to solve the dark/black screen and fix mac address? thank you very much ~
