Ugoos UT1 - wasser firmware - JB Android 4.2.2

UT2 has only one antenna. For a nominal data rate of 480MBit/s, 3 antennas are needed (802.11n-standard).

Is the UT2 using the 802.11ac-standard? Can you post a screen shot, please? All screen shots in the internet shows only 65MBit/s, like here.

1 antenna will do for the b/g/n standard. Even the most cheapass usb thing i got does 300 mbit on my 4 year old not zo cheapass Asus router. I will make a shot any time soon

with your great firmware, the ugoos UT1 identifies as Samsung GT-I9300. As I wrote already, the GT-I9300 is not compatible with the app from wetter.com.

Regarding the wifi discussion before, I want to identify the wifi chipset with the app Spec Device. But this app is not compatible to the GT-I9300, too.

Is it possible to use a more compatible identifier to your new planned KitKat firmware? For example, a Samsung GT-N5100 seems to be much more compatible (both named apps above will work).

I think UT1 wifi chipset is same as for my CX921 cause UT1 kernel works perfect on my box. CX921 has RTL8188EU wifi chipset, should be the same for UT1.

You dont need an untrusty app to prove we are wrong or right. Just find the link states and speeds from out your wifi router
Another tip, while you're at it: set to wifi n only for even more speed at 2.4ghz. Mixed mode is max 150mbit

I opened my UT 1. The used WIFI chip is Realtek RTL8188ETV. The maximum supported WIFI speed is 150MBit/s, see datasheet. The UT1 supports "antenna diversity", see datasheet, clause 3.2. "Antenna diversity" tests both antennas, and uses the better one. This method is to avoid "standing waves". This is a big problem for WIFI, because the waves are reflected on walls etc.. Therefore, boxes with 2 antennas are much better than boxes with one antenna, like UT2.

Regarding the "not compatible" problem with some apps and the wasser firmware, I found a solution:

- Install the app on a compatible device, like your smartphone
- Save app with appsaver
- Install apk on ugoos u1
