yes, but you need to update Generic.kl and rkxx-remotectl.kl

Please download the zip file and copy the Generic.kl and rkxx-remotectl.kl to /system/usr/keylayout/
reboot device. Your stock-remote should work again

Seems quite stable. My main problem is that the ut1 now fails to mount external hdd's. (I started another thread about the issue). Do you know how I can fix it?

Very unstable here, reboots every 5-10 mins after hdmi output crash even when idling with the new kernel. The "old" kernel was unstable too, but only while watching videos in mx-player.

it's strange, i have this firmware and kernel running on my k-r42 which the same harware like ut1. I cannot reproduce the crash every 5-10 minutes!

could someone else reproduce this issue too? Could you please post the the dmesg log file so i can take a look?
do you have u1 model? Perhap please try other power supply

externel hdd always needs extra power! it's reason why the hdd is not mounted!

Really? Is that the way it is meant to be with these TV boxes? When I first got the unit it worked on the (horrible) stock ROM. It also seemed to work with the Riley ROM when I installed that. I admit, though, that I didn't try to watch a full movie off the hard drive or anything..

Some external HDD you can add an extra usb power cable ... if not you always can buy a 64gb usb drive or use the sd slot or share a folder an your pc.

                            Hi

have you tested the new kernel and stock remote? It would be great if you could report the results in feedback!

It's very helpful for me. I plan to release 1.2.5 firmware for Ut1 at this weekend.

                            thanks

could you please give more infos?

                              - which player do you use?
                              - did you play movie from hdd or over network?
                              - is the freeze alway reproduceable by streaming 1080p?

it sounds strange for me, because 1080p movie plays smooth and no freeze on k-r42 with 1.2.4 firmware. The hardware is the same

                              thanks

Hi Wasser, I havent been able to install and test the new kernel / remote fix yet, will hopefully be able to do it tonight, and will report right back. About updating updating Generic.kl and rkxx-remotectl.kl: will i be able to do that through the windows filesystem or will i need something like Putty for that?
