it sounds strange for me, because 1080p movie plays smooth and no freeze on k-r42 with 1.2.4 firmware. The hardware is the same
thanks
I am just using XBMC and all movies were streamed. and yes the freezes are consistent, I tried dallas buyers club, enders game, best man holidays all froze up
I am currently running the finless 1.6 and riley kernel 1.1 audio is now sync'ed but 1080P video freezes up but audio continues

Strange tho Wasser, If this is the same hardware as the K-R42 then your 1.2.3 rom over there is perfect for me with 1080p. In fact it is the best version out of all the hardware I have. I wonder why it is different here?To Infinity and Beyond.... XBMC

the zip containing the kernel (page 3) doesnt have a flashtool. if i try to select kernel.img in the RKBatchTool it says "Load Firmware failed!"
so, i flashed k-r42-old_revision-wasser-1.2.4.img with RKBatchTool, then i flashed *only" the kernel.img with ROM_Flash_Tool_137. with this setup, ethernet is not working, so something in the flashing process is still going wrong. im not sure why this is so hard....
also, managed to copy Generic.kl and rkxx-remotectl.kl to /system/usr/keylayout/ but the remote control app still cannot find the device... :/Last edited by stefjnl; 04 February 2014, 21:46.
