The ROM is proven to be stable, more fluid than 4.2.
Several of you mentioned there's no reboot, but have you actually tried rebooting or shutting down?
When I tried to do so from the Reboot app, it got stuck on the Rebooting message. When I closed that, I tried shutting the tablet down from the Power button, now it's stuck on "shutting down" message with no luck of canceling it (unless I let the battery drain). Any thoughts?

Press the reset button to power off...or press and hold power until it turns off.

Look in settings and see if there is a quick boot feature and make sure it is turned off.

Damn, totally forgot about the reset button (I previously hold power button for 10 seconds with no luck - probably because shutting down action was already running)

I've looked into settings but so far was unable to find anything related to quick boot.

So far, the usual suspects: no 3G settings, can't use Auto mode for display.
Bluetooth works OK, Wireless hasn't dropped. I noticed that it consumes just a bit more CPU in idle(?) but it looks like it also loads faster. Tried to Reboot again using the Reboot app, still no luck (again looping at 'please wait')

I'll test the ROM some more and give you some info.

EDIT 1: for the first time since I have this tablet, it finally completed antutu benchmark without crashing loving KitKat. I also confirm the image artifacts when browsing a webpage with lots of images and scrolling fast.

          People apps?

Same here. for me there is no people app at all. How to get it Riley?

Try a 3rd party app from Play Store. There are lots of free ones. I don't know why Pipo left it out.

I a "less is better" person...but it really seems like Pipo needs to put many more finishing touches into their KitKat firmware. Something to look forward to.

Pipo are moving into developing and producing Windows 8.1 tablets, as well as a range of smart phones.
This may be stretching their resources a bit thin to be able to fully support their android tablets.

As we have already found, they don't have the best support system in the world.

                  3G battery drain?

Has anyone verified if there is still battery drain for the 3G model. I am a little dissapointed that PIPO hasn't come with a fix, for such a glitch yet.
Wish i knew it before i buy the 3g model.

                    Hi,

I don't really know if it's a problem related with PIPO, because it seems to happen to many other android devices, for example some motorola phones.

The problem is located with the RIL, and you'll find many examples if you google "RIL battery drain".

Someone suggested on a forum to use an alternative libril-rk29-dataonly.so library, and that solved my 3g M9Pro battery problems, but I don't know if this alternative library is compatible for KitKat, as I'm running Finless ROM 1.5.

Before that, I was renaming libril-rk29-dataonly.so to libril-rk29-dataonly.so.orig when 3g wasn't needed (most of the time), and reverting back to the original filename when needed. As I don't use the 3g too much, this was not a problem for me.

Maybe it's my tablet, but you shouldn't expect a supreme 3g connection, as the HW seems to be weeker than my android and blackberry phones.

Maybe y it's caused bisolation problems, the way it happens with the wifi? I coudn't find any fix for the 3g weeek signal, similar to the ones for the wifi I found on this site.

                    Best regards.

I also still have Finless ROM 1.5 on. I will try to rename the file and see if that helps once i go home. Where is the file anyway. I assume i can find it in the root file system somewhere right?
I wish this simple rename of a file fixes the problem.
                      Thank you again

                        The file is at /system/lib.

As I told you, using a different libril-rk29-dataonly.so solves the problem 100% without eliminating the 3g. Just renamed the original, put the alternative lib on the path and battery lasts "forever"!!!

I don't remember where i found it, but it didn't take me too much to find it once I knew about it.

EDIT: I googled libril-rk29-dataonly deep sleep and found it (you can translate it using google translate):

Try using root browser, that worked for me.

With ES File EXPLORER, select (expand) Tools on the left and scroll to see Root Explorer displayed. If you see it is Off, tap to turn it On. Then tap Root Explorer (not the On/Off part) and you should see Mount R/W as a choice. Tap it to select /system as R/W. It must be R/W to be able to do anything beyond read (even if you are root). Best practice would be to return to Read Only when you are done.
