It was not a deliberate decision but there were two reasons. First I had only just got my M9 Pro at Christmas so was only starting to 'play around'. Found Arctablet forum before Freaktab. So tried Kasty KitKat, then tried the 'official' Pipo Chinese version just to see if that had same GPS etc issues. Second I tried these v early on around December 27th/28th - I did subsequently see Freaktab and an initial version by you (but you noted untested and at that stage there were comments from users that it did not load/work). I then tried to go back to Finless rom from the Chinese KitKat. I clearly did something wrong as I 'soft bricked' my M9. After few unsuccessful tries with Riley Rom (using the esc-reset-power combination) I swapped back to Finless and finally 'unbricked' it; had wifi issues and so went onto Kasty 4.2.2. I wanted to check out my GPS (new tablet so needed checking it actually worked; which it does though perhaps not great). Would love to go back to KitKat as several apps ran better (and correctly - on 4.2.2 some apps cover the bottom tool bar so you cannot for example change volume whilst in App) and Antutu score was good (and the 3d test ran at 18-20fps vs 12-14 on 4.2.2). Apart from no GPS (I assume that is still the case) the other issues I found have been pretty much logged (I am also quoted but unattributed on the forum); for completeness - Miracast does not work with my LG TV (they do communicate but ultimately fail to connect); Auto brightness does not work (though it is in the setting menu but you cannot 'click' it on); power button issue (minor point when turning screen back on - a short press often does nothing; a repeat press then gets tablet to blink on/off; so longer press required which means you may get the power off menu); I also noted that the power off menu did not give a reboot option (do not recall what second option was - possibly sleep).
Sorry for long reply. I will try out your Rom at some point; ideally when we have GPS on KitKat! I can 'play with my tablet through January but then will need to set it up in earnest so hoping KitKat may be OK by then.
BTW I am a complete Android novice (though I do have a phone and an Ainol Aurora 7" tablet). Currently trying to learn a bit about Android via Coursera. Cannot get my M9 to link with Eclipse (driver issue I think though I have the Rockchip driver). Any pointers??
