NEW - Lollipop - wasser firmware 3.0.6 for Minix Neo X7

Before I update (I'm on the 2.50 official firmware) can you guys tell me if h265 video is playable in this box?

I've tried everything I could think off and couldn't get h265 video (720p not 4k or anything like that) to play on my X7, video always lags behind.

Do you guys have any suggestion or app that could play this kind of video?

It would help me a lot to know where I can get the Wasser 3.0.6 and (previous revisions) for Minix NEO X7 (RK3188).
The www.freak-tab.de site is down.

It seems we are left to our own destiny to bin these boxes, once we get stuck with bloated wares running in the background.

thanks for your work with the 3.0.6 rom. Have tested it in order to have Red Bull TV to install on the X7, which works perfectly. Unfortunately the HDMI passthrough is still broken. No sound using each and every Kodi fork, but also the native media player. I've set HDMI Bitstream in android and tried different configs in kodi to no avail. No sound al all. I'm offering my help to fix this, if you just could point me to some bit of code of config, so that I can spend a bit of time trying to fix it if you like. Please let me know.

I am a newbie to technology, I had got this Neo X7 years ago and recently found that most of the apps are running abit weird. So when I just search and found about this post and would like to try upgrading it to android lollipop version. However, is there anywhere I can find with step by step on updating this version onto mine one? As I had never try doing this before, it would be great if anyone can tell me how.

I went back to the original 250 firmware, as for me the passthrough is needed for quality audio in movies. But I have to use very old XBMC or SPMC (13.3) otherwise I get raw noise. Any help appreciated!

Wasser-2.0.3 and SPMC-14.2 are an excellent combo if passthrough is a requirement.

In case you haven't already, also have a look at FTMC.

Hello wasser.

For several years I used a very reliable firmware wasser-firmware-minix-x7-mini-1.0.4.img on MK809III with RK3188.
However, the weak unstable signal AP6210 forced to buy USB WiFi Ralink RT5370. But the firmware does not see it. Since I do not know how to compile kernels and I don?t understand anything in Linux, then I have a request to you:

1. Include in the kernel device USB WiFi Ralink RT5370
2. Include in the kernel device WACOM Bamboo Pen
3. in the alternative kernel set the frequency parameters, which were the default in the firmware wasser-firmware-minix-x7-mini-1.0.4.img

And new firmware my MK809III no longer pulls. Android is constantly rebooting. Probably because of the high frequencies. (((

Thanks for an excellent Rom for my Minix Neo X7 . I can now install the Nitrous IPTV apk . Before installing the Rom I was unable to install due to parsing error . The rom is performing as expected with Netflix and Prime Video operating correctly . I was ready to ditch the device but now it has been given a reprieve.

please help me. i have a minix neo x7 (ver 4.2). i lost micro usb cable, just have otg cable. i have bought a cable usb to usb. When i try to connect with my laptop win 7 (setup rockchip driver assistant v4.4): connect power cable, connect minix with usb to usb cable with laptop (and another way: minix - otg cable - usb to usb cable - laptop). Then, i push and hold the restore button + click power button. But nothing release, laptop have not a signal.
please tell me what can i do? Can i up firmware wasser 3.0.6 by usb?

Hello,

Yes you can upgrade your Firmware via USB Cable.
Important is not to power up your device before plug in the USB cable.
Press the reset Button and connect the USB Cable.
Then it should be regonize by the Computer.
Also on the Computer site you installed all the needed Drivers?
