Well.. as the title of the thread says... this is the Quickshot v2 ROM thread... so pardon me if your question about which ROM that we'd suggest seems almost ludicrous despite the fact you are new... unless you meant new to reading

Almost all custom roms have root access, this Rom has root access, so you can use it to remap your gamepad.



If you make all steps to flash ok the Rom, there is a little possibility that something went wrong yet, I suggest to make all the steps again, disconnect external storages, like sdcards or usb, erase idb, flash, once the process finish, let it connected ti pc for a few minutes (5-10), if you have the device connected to TV you can wath how the system recovery makes some operations, after it will reboot automatically, then the Rom logo will splash, and after the android setup wizard will be launched, then you can power off the device, disconnect it from pc and power on it again to make the first boot.
Follow the wizard indications to select, language, WiFi, Google acount, etc...
After the wizard is complete, push the home button, select launcher and start to play.

I would actively encourage using a TV while flashing as you'll be more tuned into where you are in the process and it might prevent pulling the plug/resetting the box too early!

I can understand that, yes. I just wanted to exclude everything that could cause a problem, just to be sure that I'm doing everything right.
What about the usb drivers - I downloaded some drivers from stock rom. Do you prefer some other drivers?
Could you send me the link to the usb drivers that you use for flashing? I don't know, maybe this is causing the problems... Everything is possible in technology

YouTube live streaming issue

My compliments to the Devs for this ROM and their feedback in this thread.

I have a question regarding YouTube live streams: Whenever I connect to a live stream, the first few seconds of video streams in great quality/resolution.
After about 5 seconds of live video, it is as if the quality steps down to 144p and it stays like that. This happens regardless of the ROM or YouTube app (Stock 008, Finless 1.8, Quickshot 2, YouTube stock/HD). If I watch the same live streams via the same DSL connection on my i9100 phone or TF300 tablet out doesn't happen. Also watching the live stream in Chrome/Stock Browser doesn't cause the sudden 144p quality drop. Normal non-live videos are not affected; they stream in HD perfectly.

Any ideas?

Language problem: many words in the system are in Spanish

I installed this beautiful rom but unfortunately many texts are in Spanish!
Will correct this problem?

I thought the same, but after a reboot it sorts itself out... well it did for me :-)

If you followed the instructions completely... the first boot comes up with a configuration screen where you select the preffered language... if you didn't see it... that could explain it.

You should post that in the XBMC Youtube app forum thread... this is not a ROM caused issue

Odd... I didn't need to reboot... the second screen I saw was still in Spanish saying to wait, but it was English after that.

This ROM is amazing! So fast using the 720 memory. Thanks so much!

One question.. I just found the Minix Remote control APK and installed it (no airmouse right now, just stock remote). Everything is on the same network., but the problem is the Minix Remote app cant find my device. Does it work with QuickShot?
