Refresh rate change - FAIL
@Oman - is there anything in the pipeline to ensure that whenever the resolution/refresh rate is changed either in the display settings menu or by XMBC, that I do not lose the HDMI signal 50% of the time?
Having to keep toggling the TV input whenever the signal is lost is an absolute pain.
Would the Lollipop SDK solve this? Is it a kernel issue?
Thanks
Dave

Ok I would have said before I tried http://speedof.me (...A HTML5 Spped Test Site), that this was likely due to the fact that the Ookla App only displayed Mobile Operator Networks, and not Fixed Line Ones. (Al-la the PC Version). However that doesn't seem to be the case.
Using the above Link, on my PC (From which I typing this!). I managed a score of 49.78Mb Down & 9.41 Up. Which seems about correct as you always lose a bit in the overhead. The exact same test on the MXIII (1G/8G AP-6181 b/g/n 20Mhz Channel 2.4Ghz WiFi @ 65Mbps), I only managed 34.81Mb & 9.18Mb. Wired* fared much worse @ 20.6Mb & 9.15Mb (Speeds shown as Down/Up).
*Wired is a CAT-5e Cable approx. 20m in length. I can't really see the need of CAT6 or 7 when the MXIII only has a BASE10/100TX Ethernet Port.

Stock Firmware - Beelink S82/M8 - MXIII 1/2G - Official FW Releases from Beelink - user feedback thread
Found a bug.
I'm now on the latest system software 112k4. I can't get 1080p 60hz/50hz video output anymore. When set to the aforementioned resolutions, the screen starts flickering so badly that it's almost impossible to see what's on the screen! Rendering the device pretty much useless that way.
I also tried 1080p24 and 720p 60hz which both seem to be working just fine in the system menu. But in case of 1080p24 (my preferred video output), xbmc reverts back to 720p, showing just a blank blue screen. I havent tried FrequencySwitcher xbmc add-on just yet, but if I can't set the resolution to 1080p, that wouldn't be much helpful anyway.
Again, 720p60hz works fine. The problem seems to occur with 1080p resolutions only.
I've been reading other users' comments on the latest build but can't remember anyone mentioning this. Has anyone else faced similar issues with 1080p video output?

after an reboot the audio settings often going back to PCM, but i have an 5.1-Setup and need SPDIF-Passthrough.
When you fix this, the Box is good for me. The Settings should stored permanently
I have the same Box as you, a 1G/8G, and I too only use S-PDIF Out, but I have never had this problem ever.
And yes I too am on 112k4, for the moment.

After an Reboot this Setting is often automatically going back to "PCM" again.
I can only say like it is, this setting is not stored permanently. I use 112k4 on MX III 1G/8G

Im having a slight problem in 112k4 .. when i copy my build to the xbmc installed it comes up as top corner of the screen .. and no the( /) doesnt work .. it only comes full screen when i set the box to 1080p in mbox settings and turn off auto detection obviously.. however every thing works great on 720p.. only xbmc+my build shows up small.. then i set 1080p .. and all full screen
Edit .. only happens with pre installed xbmc .. i tried spmc its all good .. it seems that the preinstalled xbmc doesnt recognise the resolution of my build and untill i set box to 1080p it shows uo as quarter of screen

Of course should Google Music be of concern, you may want to way it first. As you'll very likely burn though a "Device", and since Google have limited the possible deactivations to just 4 in any 365 Day Period. I would NOT recommend that anyone to over do this.
Even if this is the correct way to do the update. i.e. wiping Data & Cache that is.

Hey there Oman,
there is a 113k4 in the pipeline?
Can you tell us what to expect in near coming releases?
Having a real hard time with some content. Heavy stuttering ONLY on my S82 Box.
Other devices (Nexus5, Samsung BD-F7500) Play same content perfectly!
That´s really annoying!
Hope for a new realease with better drivers for much better decoding performance.
It´s really annoying that I can do so much with the Box but the pure base, playback of media is not even close to perfect.Last edited by Magnifico; 28 February 2015, 23:40.

Seems 112k4 Firmware is not the problem.
I have a MX 3 box with exact same firmware installed running the same software (I might say) but on this device the videos run pretty smooth.
So any fault/error is this installation. Trying a full reset now. Hope this will fix it.
But now that I looked around the universe of internet I get a very bad feeling we are left behind with our devices without future releases.
BeeLink website still only shows 109k4. Same with many other resellers with more or less the same machine.
Some even are not even showing 109k4 but 108k4. Single times I found 111k4 but If I remember right only for newer machine/devices.
/EDIT: FOUND THE PROBLEM! Frame Interpolation of my EPSON EH-TW8100 doesn´t like the picture of my Android Boxes at all! ANY other playing device is without ANY problem!
But when the Android Boxes (I have 1x S082B and 1x MX III) give the signal the Epson produces a weird annoying stuttering. Disabling FI in Epson settings fixes the Problem but still really really weird problem.Last edited by Magnifico; 01 March 2015, 03:33.
