In need of some expert advice
Hi Mate
How do I get the following firmware: -KOT49H.20141227 test-keys ?
A point in the right direction would be much appreciated. I've been searching the net like crazy so links are most welcome.......I have this on 1 of my M8 boxes and would like to add it to my other one. I've found some similar but I have remote issues not turning on/off when updated. Is it possible for me to copy firmware from 1 device to another?
Cheers

Well unfortunately I can't seem to do squat with this as I'm on Linux. Or does anyone here know if Amlogic's USB BURNER TOOL works on WINE? I'm not sure its worth the bother to try and install VMWare on a Netbook though. So hopefully this will mean that an SD Card File will soon land.
As to the hoped for fixes... Well we could start from all the spelling mistakes that were / are in 112k4. Otherwise I'd like to see better speeds in Ethernet again. Ever since the last few turns its feeling more, and more like the Ethernet is being hindered, at the expense of the Wi-Fi that, is itself... What I'd term as a piece of junk. If the damed thing could at least do 802.11n at 40Mhz (Dual Channel @ 130Mbps), instead of the measly 65Mbps (i.e. 20Mhz), that it does, then I'd for One would be a lot happier.*
Another long-fored feature I'm looking forward to, would be Kodi (a.k.a. XBMC 14.1+). XBMC is dead long live Kodi, and its time to put Gotham to Bed. As to the question of Lollipop? I know some People are looking forward to that as well. But TBH, I'm not sure what exactly, that in, and of itself would bring. Surly nothing that we don't already have in Kitkat. I for One doubt that Lollipop will magically fix all our DRM'gmt wows. ex: Play Movies. 'Cause I doubt that it would.

@hereje
I don't know if your "HDMI Bug" is the same as mine... i.e. The Auto Detect spewing out a healthy 576p instead of the more desired 720p or 1080 resolutions. If so, the your in for some more disappointment I'm afraid.
Ok I'd be loath to call this a "Change Log", but here are some of the more "visible" changes.
1) Dobly settings has been changed to read Dolby settings now.
2) We have a new option called "Disable usb-audio OUTPUT" (Whatever that does?)
3) Not sure if new.. Though I can't recall ever noticing it before. "Application request to change orientation"
And, thats in the Advanced Settings...
Its the same old Kitkat 4.4.2 the Kernel version is 3.10.33 (I failed to note the prior version number...)
XBMC is still stuck at v13.4 REALLY WTH Guys?!
If theres anything else I missed then I guess a better change log will eventually rear its head at some point.
TBC: Ethernet Speed improvement (if any....) after I get done with setting up a few things such as SuperSU...
UPDATE!! The Ethernet still SUCKS!! Out of a 50MB Line I was able to pretty much get the full Pipe, at 'round 47MBps over the Wi-Fi... I wasn't even able to get half of that though the Ethernet which only gets ~20MBps. PLEASE FIX THIS!!
P.s. To the Guy asking about the Sig (on this ROM...) It's:
3.10.33

Seems to me more like some kind of RF disruption / interference caused by your Shutters to me. Or does this happen when your NOT using your Shutters?
Iam not even shure how its possible .Its only on the same cercuitbreaker (here in the netherlands most houses have only 3 till 5 cercuitbreaker groups for the whole house) no other stuff i have reacts on the shutter switch .only the tronsmart. the tronsmart is in a wall socket 4 meters(12ft) from the shutter switch
it doesnt react on the light switch only the shutter switch.I do understand electronics iam a trainengeneer

@Ichijoe, the HDMI problems that I believe many are having are related to the TV losing signal completely when the resolution/refresh rate is changed. Are you able to check this with the new 113k4 firmware? (try changing the video output a couple of times in settings).
It makes using the auto refresh rate option in XBMC/Kodi a pain in the ass when the signal suddenly cuts out and you end up with a black screen and a message such as 'no signal' and 'invalid format'. This was in the 112k4 changelog as fixed and yet wasn't - that's when I felt like throwing my box out of the window.

One being that those switches are causing a surge and the s89-h is more sensitive (are you using a surge protector with the tv and s89?
Or the less likely there interference issues from bad shielding on one or both devices (very rare but does happen).
I Am guessing it probably the former since i seen this happen with quite a few devices over the years which is why i always have good surge protection for my electronic devices.
One adequate power supply can be easly tripped up by this when other devices with better power supplies are totally unaffected.Mk802IV Neomode 1.9a original rom 720p

But, to get back on Topic I've never had any such "issues" to my knowledge like ever.
I just find it almost telling that you mentioned this only happening when your operating other machinery. e.g. The Shutters.
This makes me suspicious that its likely some kind of radio interference either in the air... or more likely in the Cabling thats playing havoc. Or so it seems to me. My Old man has the same Box as I do, and unlike me he does have Electronic Shutters. Plus his TV can do up to 1080p. But again I've never seen any problems, or indeed have heard any from him regarding such matters.
Have you tried moving both your TV, and Tronsmart away to a different part of the House? Perhaps to some Room without all the fancy Shutters? I'm gonna guess its dirty RF Line noise in / on the House Cabling. If that's the case then you should consider getting a Surge Protector / Line Filter to try and stop this from happening.
@Magnus33
Its not like these Power Supplies that come with most of these Boxes are known to be of the... How should One say... The best quality to start with. At least if you believe everything you'd read on Sites like these. Thankfully though everything is still tickedyboo over here.
