Is there a way to set the CPU to 1000Ghz from first boot? I mean, after install the rom it must boot setted to 1Ghz from begining.

Possible?

I made a ROM.img based on this, but overheat problems are a headache

I bought an IR termometer today. I found the really problem comes from the RAM.

When play a 3D game these modules are 75ºC, CPU maybe 60ºC working 1Ghz.

I have made a small heat sink, applied the thermal paste. It's small, can cover the SoC but can not cover full 2 of the DDR modules in that face of the board.

Now the themperature is around 65ºC in the heatsink over the DDR and 55ºC over the SoC.


I changed to 1.2Ghz and just now to 1.4Ghz and did not reboot, even after close the case. Yes, the case is hot like the hell , but does not reboot.

Next (hardware) step is making a bigger heat sink each face. The theory of the heat sinks says the important is how many cm2 in contact with the air, so I'll give this board as many square cm as I can.

As well you should take in account that you are not usind a fan so the heatsynk should be a fanless one... The fins on the fanless one are diferent shape. I would use a copper one and thermal paste very little or will create the reversed effect and keep the heatsynk away from the cpu

Using hola! with playstore doesn't work too.
Moreover i see there are a lot of people that can't install netflix because the incompatibility with mk809iii.

I downloaded tons of APKs but I can't install because there is a parsing error.

But i don't wanna give up. It should be a way!

For the record, the app store version of Netflix works perfectly fine with the MK809III and this ROM. My wife and I use it just about every day. So it's not really an incompatibility problem. More likely it's a security feature since it isn't supposed to be available in your country.

Well it is strange because I use netflix app with no problem in my nexus 10 tablet, thanks to hola!. But I can't install it in my stick.

try this apk. is a zip so unzip it take the apk and install it. I just install this same apk on my device without errors. The only problem that i´m in spain and there is no netflix in spain, so I get "netflix is not available in your country blah, blah". If you are in a country where netflix offer service, it should work without any modifications, otherwise use some kind of proxy. There is a second link with info on proxies.

I use heat/fan combo find heat doesnt get away fast enogh without the fan its overclocked with even the stock roms that nothing really works well with.

its how much i willing to pay for heat sink fan or best where i can harvist from older pc lol.

It is very useful to have an underclocked kernel, too. May you build this kernel for 8723bs wifi please?

I use the d33 kernel but if I set 1Ghz the stick reboots if I open any app.
