its how much i willing to pay for heat sink fan or best where i can harvist from older pc lol.
Northbridge, Southbridge and video card heatsinks are perfect after some tailoring to size. Being a nutcase, I paid entirely too much for the custom sizes of alum heat sinks I use. Lost pics of the work to a phone glitch but I reground and polished to mirror finish the contact surfaces of a 2mm x 20mm x 20mm copper "shim" and sandwiched it with 3M thermal transfer tape between the SOC and a 21mm w x 15mm h heatsink. Shame I had to hide the beauty of the work but the effect is worth the effort.

Found some solutions to my K400 keyboard hot key issues. I was completely frustrated by a lack of info on how to easily remap keys in the system. Turns out Google's Quick Launch settings are still available on all my devices running KK. They were only hidden and can be made accessible via a loophole in the Nova and Apex launchers. Additionally, unbeknownst to me the Logitech kb and mouse management app Setpoint adjusts my K400 internal settings and not just local settings on pc. Between the two I have far more control over kb actions than I presumed.

SMIC: Thank you again for a fantastic rom! Im still running V2, but want to go to V4 this weekend.
Everything is performing like a dream with only a few exceptions. I still havent identified whether Im the only cat affected by the 1.8ghz full range kernel responding with 1.6ghz speed cap upon boot. Ive also run into odd issues with some music players. The Soundcloud app plays only a second of any given track and then advances to next song, but it must be an app or server issue regarding the device , as even my phone and Nex7 tablet exhibit similiar behaviour. The principle difference being that all my other devices play near full tracks before switching songs automatically. My guess is that the Soundcloud servers dont recognize my device identifier and prompt a track bump for some reason. Even then, I'm not sure why.
Winamp has never loaded on screen with my stick, but I was hoping the fw switch would alleviate the issue. It hasn't. The app supposedly runs but refuses to do anything but give home screen when I try to use it. Have yet to ever see it's interface on my mk802iv. The "Music" app is odd as well, as it shuts down to home screen when I attempt to play a song through internal, ext sd or usb drive.

Im not looking for answers so much as to identify if im the only one with these questions. I'm of the belief that I may have transported an issue from previous fw installs when restoring data and settings in this rom.
Anyone here seeing these issues as well?

Anyone tried this on a CX-919? In the OP it says when flashing you need to rename the parameter before using RKflashtool, what does that mean? Thanks

I'm fairly certain this rom will work with the CX-919.

Rename the default "parameter" file to "defaultparameter" or similar. Then rename the parameter file you prefer to simply "parameter". Voila. On device flash the batch tool will search for "parameter" and ignore all other variants of file. You now have allocation size you need and a preserved stock parameter, should you choose to revert back etc.

        Hope that helped.

              Firmware request

              Hi,

Can you upload a firmware version for wifi+bt version CDT-K25931?
I tried your firmware and I liked it but the wifi didn't work.
              Thank you!

                V4 worse performance

                Hi:

My stick is MK802IV, I had installed the V3 with the default settings of Rktools without changing anything, not the kernel, I was with Antutu almost 19,000, and had improved video playback and WIFI enough and not having video pulls no problems of any kind.
I also Flashed V4 default AnTuTu and dropped to 14900 and pulls the video shows, besides the WIFI seems to have worsened, I will continue investigating to see it working, but so far is worse than the V3.

Someone who will do the same and have worsened in the operation?

                greetings and thanks.

I was on the CS918 forum and noticed a ROM that had "8gb in one partition"
                  Possible with your ROM SMIC?

Need a little help, hadn't used my stick in a while, AP6210 with a 3188 "T" cpu. Hadn't used the stick in a while (had an old neomode rom on it) and when I booted it up i tried to install the youtube app it reboot and got stuck in a boot loop so I tried flashing this.

This rom also boot loops, it got to the OS once but then bootlooped soon after. The newest neomode rom will get the OS but will soon reboot and bootloop if I do anything heavy. If I underclock the CPU it seems stable but I can't even get to that point in this rom.

Any idea?, I'm about to download an older rom and try it out, but I'd really like to try the flicker fix with this rom.

My guess is that you are using a weak power supply.

Did you erase IDB during flashes? I would DL the factory fw available through RKM's website and attempt flashing that to see if the problem persists. If so, it is a hardware issue. If the resets stop, try another swing at flashing this rom again.
When flashing back to the Rikomagic fw, be sure to use "restore" and not "upgrade" unless switching from one RKM fw package to a more recent RKM file.

                        Hope that helps. Good luck.

EDIT: I can only validate full functionality of v.2 of this rom on my MK802iv, as I haven't yet flashed v.3 or v.4 to my device. I'm sure they perform just as well, if not better but can't confirm personally. If you do have success, please feel free to post results.

Oops. That's normally what I would immediately suggest. Went right over my head.... Good call.

Usually it would work fine even off the TV's usb, but I'll try find a better power supply today.

Will a 5v2a charger be sufficient? That's the best one I can find, it came with a 2a one but I lost that so was using tv power or my 0.7a phone charger.

Just flashed tonight and the ROM is great. One question, looks like I have the dreaded "T" chip because I flashed the 1.6 kernel but CPU frills only shows 1.4 as my highest speed. Any way to get around this and actually get the 1.6 or higher? thanks and again, great ROM.....

TV USB generally only feeds about .5 A. A quality 2A psu is a base requirement though. Anything less leads to system instability of all sorts.

There are numerous null keyboard apps on the Play Store. After installing one, disable the onscreen kb in Settings.
