Last night i was recommended this SPMC linked at bottom

It is by Koying, probably best xbmc developer for RK/AML boxes anywhere

Just disable amcodec in hardware acceleration to avoid no picture & only sound

You can keep Oman or official Gotham and install Koying's as it uses a different add-on folder & path, name etc.

So you have two good xbmc apps installed at the same time to compare

I'm almost giving up and wait a few months before try it again.
Compared to Raspberry Pi, this box is ultra fast, nice implementation (I now have a propor ON/OFF option) XBMC is just... well... frustrating!
There are videos that not even start, let alone skipped frames or out of sync audio.

What else could I try?

Resign Zip?

Ok I have extracted the zip replaced some files. Remote.conf etc etc. I have used Android Kitchen to resign but still getting this error. what software should I use. . I did try to reflash but gave me E: Footer is wrong E Signature not verified.

uninstall oman xbmc, reinstall oman xbmc
don't change settings except all 3 hardware accelerators enabled
copy the advancedsettings.xml from my GUIDE THREAD

oman's = all 3 hardware accelerators enabled
if no picture but audio: only enable libstagefright, later sessions enable all 3 to test

compare at least 2 same videos from icefilms from same streaming source on both xbmc apps

if no joy, your box might be problematic.

if no joy, install stane's Linux xbmc, compare.

As you have mentioned External parts and Packing Identical thats why I've asked to joperiera who is the seller cos its a different PCB ...

Actually we are not even sure whats going on But Many seller Gave me Price and said its Original M8!
I've asked what you mean by Original? is there a Clone M8? the answer was YES!

There is definitely another version of the M8. It is using a different PCB board but they claim that is the only difference and uses same parts so I wouldn't really call it a clone. It is $2 cheaper compared to the original and may eventually end up being in every new M8. I may try a sample to make sure our FW works on them. If it is the same parts then who cares about a different pcb lol

Different PCB could lead to different hardware behavior like instability (crashs, etc.) , but I think the problem here is software related (of course, the combination between hardware and software).

Will try Washere sugestions.
