You can also use OpenELEC's backup.

It's in the OpenELEC Configuration. It will make a back up of your system that you have OpenELEC running on. It will be a .tar file and be easily accessed through samba share from your home computer. And you can even store the .tar file on a flash drive to use it to restore a different box through file manager. If you wanted to go that option.

Probably a stupid question, but can you restore a Gotham backup to a helix install?

I'm not sure whether this is specific to my M8 (or it's 2A power supply) or if others are suffering from the same problem, but I am suffering from freezes when browsing the menu. For example I have just had to pull the plug on my box after browsing the TV Shows library.

I have also experienced the TV Show I am watching seemingly pause but only showing a black screen. However the remote stays active and if I stop the show I can resume it again from where it left off. I'll try to provide a log for these issues.
